Wombeyan Caves, NSW: Closed, "Dash Cam Footage"
There are 2 ways to get to Wombeyan from Sydney, either via Mittagong or Goulburn.
Travelling through Mittagong and via the Wombeyan Caves Road, it takes about 1.5 hours/74Km from Alpine to Wombeyan Caves. The last hour of driving is on a dirt road, and most of this is only "single lane width" with few passing bays. Take extra care on the tight blind curves for oncoming traffic.

I was there 2 weeks ago after the heavy rains. The turn off from Mittagong is closed due to road damage. You need to go via Goulburn, it's longer if coming from Sydney way but you only get about 9 km of gravel road. Some parts of the caves were closed due to flooding, but the sound of running water was great.

Our family did this drive in late eighties, i remember the blind corners, beeping horn at approach of each one, large cliff drops on left hand side. Video was good to watch as ive been thinking of doing drive one day again

Which month was this? I am trying to there but worried that there seems to be road closure on google.

Hi JohnnyG , That was on Aug 2022. The way to cave was closed but the main road which is High Range to Richlands wasn't. Another beautiful place to drive in NSW. Cheers!
