I agree, although considering all we hear about “male privilege,” shouldn’t she get a longer sentence than he could have received, after all not only could her lies put him in jail, but even if they don’t do that they could cost him his job, apartment, future girlfriends, etc….
And to make matter worse, in cases like this suddenly a man has to proven, beyond the shadow of any doubt, that he wasn’t abusive, which is almost impossible to prove unless the woman is a dolt and openly admits to the fraud and criminal actions

Omg that doctor basically labeled people with BPD as bad. I, myself, have BPD, and I've never faked being brutally abused. I don't abuse alcohol, do drugs, or any of that. Many people with BPD usually do. Shame on that doctor for saying people with BPD are highly manipulative. I take that as an insult as a person who struggles with this every single day. She has some nerve to make us all look bad. Just because this woman may have BPD and seemed manipulative, that doesn't mean that all of them are. So, you so-called doctor, shut up and find a job where no one has to deal with your suckish stigma. No decent experienced doctor says something like that. My therapist never accused me of being manipulative because I'm NOT. Don't label all people with this illness! Focus on the one person you're dealing with! Jeez, even doctors are so messed up.
