I honestly don't think I cried for a character before or since as hard as I did Clara. Face the Raven, it wrecked me, the post credit scene even more so. I know some folk saw Hell Bent as being regressive and undoing Clara's sacrifice, but honestly it was bittersweet. She spent her life saving the Doctor over and over until the one day when in order to save him from himself, she let him go. She became the Doctor at the cost of her best friend. augh, that hurts.
Clara and 12th doctor.. that is the true relationship between human and time lord.
The doctor will sacrifice anything to take care of Clara in return of Clara risking her own life jumping inside The Doctor's time stream and saving all the incarnation of the Doctor from the Great intelligence

That was particularly good dialogue writing where Clara thanks 12 for making her feel special...and 12's slightly formal reply, 'Thank you for exactly the same.'

I love Rose, Martha, Donna, River, Amy and Rory, but when it comes to Clara, I have a special place in my heart just for her. I would do anything to protect and save her, even go as far as to risk my own life to ensure her safety. I absolutely adore her.
By the end of the second season with Peter Capaldi I begin to realize he was my favorite doctor. I never thought I'd say that. And I loved the evolution of Missy.
when they announced Peter Capaldi was the new Doctor, I was so upset. He was forever set in my mind as John Frobisher (Torchwood, COE) and I couldn't imagine him transforming that image into the Doctor. Matt Smith was my Doctor and I was sure Peter Capaldi could never be as good.
After "Listen", I was in love with him. He is far and away my favorite Doctor. He can express so much emotion with just his eyes. No one will ever come close.

I honestly haven’t seen him mourn anyone in the way he mourned Clara and River. Like most other times he is hurt, that’s obvious but it’s different with these two. Most other people you see him hurting but you also see him accept it. With Clara and River he doesn’t accept it as easily and mourns them longer, even going as far as to forgetting Clara and giving up 24 years to River and then you see him with Bill afterwards. River and Clara, he truly cared about them. Clara was his best friend and River was his wife and he loved the so, so much. That’s why Clara, River, Eleven and Twelve are my favourite characters in DW.

I don't think it matters if they were in love or not. What matters is that (no matter how ) They truely and deeply loved each other the way only two people can.

@@TehDMBfan As Jenna put it, it was otherworldly which I think is the best way to describe it. It wasnt traditional romantic or platonic love it was their own unique relationship that can only be understood by them.
I know this is a year old, but I believe I saw something exactly about this. Moffat and Smith both considered Clara to be the Doctor's GF romantic and everything. But Capaldi didn't play it that way because he believed the Doctor shouldn't be able to fall in love w/ humans or something, I don't really remember too well. So Romantic until it wasn't might be a good way of putting it which would correspond to Coleman's response of it being more than romantic and platonic if it evolved w/ the regeneration of the Doctor. But again, I think this is what I heard or read so take it with a grain of salt. Just for future readers of this comment.

The Hybrid will destroy a billion billion hearts to heal its own. There are billions upon nollions of instances of both Clara and the Doctor. They are both immortal also. And yet they have both died and will continue to die throughout eternity. Untill there is no time and no space.
Clara was beautiful, wasn't she? This compilation is beautiful. And you know, that story of the Hybrid may be done... But I believe that for every ending there's a new beginning. Clara may be dead, but her soul lives on. In some shape, form, or another. It always does, and nothing can convince me otherwise. People come and go from our lives. They help shape us into who we are, and what we become. Why people must often times eventually leave, I could never tell you. I hate goodbyes. Like really, really hate goodbyes. I like to believe forever is possible, even if one must fight forever for it. Sure, let go of the past... But hold onto hope for the future. And never, ever let go of that hope. We all still have our own story to make, don't we? Even in death we can continue to form it. It's up to you to figure out how that's possible.

One thing I always wondered is where are other time lords now I know they died but what about before the war when they did time travel technically those versions would still exist somewhere

I actually really like the over-sharpening in this video
if you think about it, with doctor who it started making the companions the main characters of the story like with Clara, and their stories even stretch over multiple doctors like rose as well, and the character development was so good and detailed that it became the story ark, now with the new season and writers its almost like the characters don't matter anymore, and its all about whats happening, not the doctor and not the companions.

not a reincarnation, a diff clara. so basically it’s revealed when the doctor goes to trenzalore that the reason clara is everywhere is bc she is saving him from the great intelligence. the gi entered the doctor’s timestream to kill him every second he lived, and clara entered to protect him at every instant. it’s why she was everywhere, in every time of the doctor’s life

Excellent job on the video! If I can make one suggestion, it would be to take the music volume down a bit. It overshadows the dialog at times. If the music is the focal point, and they're just talking in the background, it's perfect, but if you want the dialog to be the focal point, it has to compete with the music.

River song is literally hybrid
I personally dislike Clara for two reasons. She didn't really have much going for her or personality beyong spunky and energetic, and she practically took over the show. She wasn't especially intelligent, but came up with plans and ideas that were flawless every time. She basically couldn't fail.
And I think the worst part was that she was painted at a sort of soulmate for the Doctor, despite not being particularly special beyond the Impossible Girl premise.
Idk just trying to put my opinion out there. I actually really do like this video, though :) Really well done tribute.
I personally thought that she was quite intelligent. It was a mistake to make her the doctor’s soulmate though. I think her personality had more to it than most people realize. Think back to Time of the Doctor when under the influence of the truth field, she blurts out that she’s a personality masking control freak. There’s an excellent article on the subject on DoctorWhoTV
