I use tree clippers to cut my wood... waaaaay less effort and still a smooth cut... I went without substrate in my first run because I didn't want mealworms to be able to burrow into it
Where I live in Tx has tons of native jumping spiders. I love the lil guys they're adorable and they murder mosquitoes, which automatically makes having them around a treasure.
Jumping spiders can be trained.. They can be taught to wave and when and where to jump and all sorts of things.. it really is amazing how smart they are.
I'm scared of most spiders, but the jumpers are cool with me. That face helps a ton. They also don't stealth ninja drop on me. I had a black and white zebra striped looking one (Illinois variety of some sort) living behind an old Tandy computer that would come out, raise it's two front legs at me, I'd wave, it would put it's legs down all chill, and walk back behind the computer, daily, for a long time. :) He was my buddy. Those little bug box things are pretty cool enclosures.
I’m looking at making something like this to store insects we have here I. The UK. Would it be simple enough to create a British woodland terrarium to keep bugs for a few days whilst I do photoshoots of them?
Great video. You are right. Jumping spiders are cute. After watching the videos of Jumping spider habitats on Serpa Design and now your video, I want to get one so bad. Please give us a follow-up later. Please make more of these habitats too.
@@adamlea87 I got really weirded out when RUclips recommended me an “up and coming creator” from here. Mind you I get surprised whenever I find something that happened in or references Worcester.
Your enclosure looks amazing! Does the spider go after the isopod clean up crew?
O.m.g. I have to make one of these for my 3yo! He absolutely loves spiders! And it helps that this one looks like Lucas 😊

I am wondering with how much love, motivation and perfection you are doing this passion ... you are amazing !
What kind of wood is in jumping spider's enclosure? I would love to incorporate that kind of wood for one of my slings!
Cork is a really good wood type for jumping spiders and spider wood

Aerith is such a cute name for a beautiful spider, and I'm sure she's much happier in her new home you made.
