I bought the floor model when it launched and have been using it ever since. The light it produces puts all other lamps/fixtures I’ve purchased before to shame. Yes, it’s very expensive, but I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Mostly work from home at odd hours. Couldn't find a desk lamp to check all my boxes until the Dyson Lightcycle. Being able to change the lumens, color temp, angle of the light, and night light tube features gives me a lot flexibility depending on what task I'm performing. It would be nice additions if the Morph arm(s) could raise/lower a bit and the USB-C charge port didn't rotate with the lamp tube.
I bought the latest Dyson Solarcycle table lamp in 2019. And in 2020, the next generation Dyson Solarcycle Morph floor lamp. Both lamps are defective after 2 years. In my case I found out that only the power supply is defective. I have two neighbors who have the exact same problem with their Dyson lamps. The lamps switch themselves off again and again after 2 minutes! It is not possible to order a new power supply unit, we have been trying to order it from Dyson for over a year. It's been unavailable for over 1 year! You can't buy the power pack anywhere in Europe from England to Sweden to Spain! I just sent the power packs to Dyson for repairs, they wrote to me there: Our workshop informed us that we only received two power packs and not your entire Solarcycle table lamp. As part of the repair, we would like to exchange your table lamp for a new device, but for this it must be received in our workshop in advance. What use is a new lamp if the lamps have the same problem again in 2 years? What experiences have you had with your Dyson lamps?
It's pretty stylish and going to buy it for the late-night book-reading purposes. In my humble opinion, bit over-priced besides the fact, I'm a big fan of Dyson and got all the products until today except for this one :)
Dyson products have solid features, but the quality of their products is often below average for the price paid. I think this lamp is for those with no budget, as I'd rather buy a BenQ lamp.

I just got the black, and I think the black one looks more reasonable for the light since I think the light will pop more. It is just me
After you paid 1000$, you say SHAME to make yourself comfortable. I think each lap has its own virtual. If a lamp cost 4000$, you say dyson SHMAE?

The design language indeed is pretty Dyson-like. The assambly is easy and the end result is wonderful. The price though... ouch...
Ouch indeed! It does have a 60-year lifespan and the light quality is significantly better than less expensive products. But it still hurts!

This would have been so perfect if the price is below $500. This is too expensive for a lamp. But nevertheless I like it!
Sometimes we're allowed to like our money more than the fancy LED lamp. But it is cool nonetheless :)

I feel the design of the lamp itself isn't really aesthetically pleasing. Looks a bit bulky and uninspiring.
We can't see Dyson redesigning. However, more colour choices might help it appeal to a wider audience.
How big is the base?
The base is 8 inches across and very heavy to keep the lame sturdy for all lighting angles.
