I live in Maryland I have seen more newer 2024 quarters and nickels than cents or dimes.

I have 2 boxes at the house since Friday. Needed to finish a Nickel hunt, which I am editing, the penny hunt which you just watched... and now I can hunt the halves. :)

Not a bad little score. I haven't touched pennies in quite a while at this point, been too busy putting my bets on halves (did pull a 90% and a 40% in my last three boxes). Must say I miss the thrill of finding a Wheatie. Great video as always GA!
I am trying to do them more regularly... they just take me soooo long to get through. Used to be faster when I only looked for a handful of common errors. Now I am looking for a TON of stuff.
@@GASilverHunter yeah, 100% get that. Everything else takes me maybe 2 hours per box to get through, but cents take me at least 5 per box. It's a big investment on time
Yes... and for me I have had 1 relatively big score on pennies (1988 Transitional) but nothing else big from an error standpoint. I too am around 5+ hours on a box of pennies.
My last $25 penny box last week I found 10 wheeties and the oldest was a 1919.
Thats awesome. I get one pre-1941 wheatie in like evert 10 boxes. Its sad.

Ha! Yes... Upgrade the coin in the album. I say lots of stuff that when I hear it back I am like... thats not what I meant to say... but I speak off the cuff usually so you when the brain/mouth connection is bad, you guys see it happen. :-)
Hello GASH, I just found a 1983 FS-801. Have you ever found one? What are they worth?
I have not. All depends on condition. Could be $10-20 in BN low grade. Could be $12,000 in Red MS 67-68.
Do you also pull copper from your hunts?

I haven't hunted pennies in a few weeks. My last two boxes averaged 15 wheats... which actually lowered my average on the year haha. Northeast is hot for them. I had a big week numismatically. Bought my first Hawaii note, my mom gifted me my first 2 cent piece, and a kind soul on Reddit gifted me 4 Mercs, 2 Barbers, 2 buffalos, a 1968-S proof half, and a WWII ration token, all of which were dates I didn't have.
