5:19 everyone thought that the blurry text under the stone star in SM64 was impossible to read. well, i can barely read Eternal Star... don't know what's written in the second line.
Easy. The following is from the Zelda Wikia's "Arwing" entry: "The true purpose was revealed in June 2011; the movement patterns for the boss Volvagia were the same as how an enemy fighter tails an Arwing in Star Fox 64. The Arwing was inserted as a placeholder, so the developers could mimic the behavior, and simply switch the model. "
I wouldn't expect a "gamer" such as yourself to appreciate a masterpiece such as Ocarina of Time. People are still playing and talking about this game and discovering new things about it 15 years after its release. A Call of Duty game gets one year in the spotlight before its pushed aside by the next one that's pretty much THE SAME GAME.
I don't think the last one is an Easter egg, it's more like a reused texture for a sign. Just to save space and time. That's mostly what they did with older cartridge based games, just copied over minor details to save time etc.
cody baurle A few of them, yes. Around the N64 era a lot of small details were recycled but since Majora's Mask used the expansion pak the textures were a lot more crisp and all around better looking. But yeah, if you pay close attention you can easily spot little textures and details from Ocarina of Time that are in Majora's Mask
Damn now with the modern knowledge of data manipulation and code rewriting used in speedruns, we can actually spawn the arwings in without the need for a cheat code.
I love it when ppl discover interesting oddities and unused content in games. It let's us see what the developers were thinking when they were building the game, though I gotta question why they put the Arwing in the game. I wish there was a website dedicated to this kind of research. Good job.
1:30 no its a beta stalfos room. when shadow link was included, the developer wanted to test the AI of it, and doesnt wanted to go all the way down to the Miniboss of Water-Temple.
Possibly, there are many mysteries about oot's early stages. ive heard there were supposed to be two extra temples, the light/sky temple and the ice temple, but they were scraped (not sure why, sounds awesome) and its rumoured that there may have been two other tunics, a gold and a white one. To many other mysteries to list, but those are probably ones that disappoint me the most.
its incredible to think even though the game is already incredible that it could have been even better. new tunics, new temples...man i wish they came out with those additions when the 3ds version came out..
I think the ice and sky temple were suppose to br part of the Nintendo Disc Drive, an attachment for the N64 would allow for add-on content and even new games. Zelda was planned to also have an expansion pack on said DD, they even planned a new Earthbound and Fire Emblem.
Achilleas Economou well the boss for the fire temple is a fire dragon so they had to test its movement. the r wing makes this a lot easier because the head moves and the body fallows where the head moved. and i'm not even sure the r wing is testing the movement or not.
i dont think the last thing should be considered an easter egg because a lot of the other nintendo things were put into the game to save programming time like the star fox fighters to mimic the flight of the fire temple boss. They probably just copied the text file over, and rather than being an easter egg is just a coincidence.
It says Eternal Star, marking the star in the fountain on Mario 64. OOT was built on the same engine so they used a lot of the same graphics for both games, that's why the same block of text is in there =)
Sometimes you have to use a bomb to open a cracked wall (which I suppose is about the same as the point in COD4 when you have to blow up the wall so your teammates can get to the missile control room). You can use the hookshot to stick to certain points to get across gaps you can't jump across. Use fire arrows to melt ice in your way, Ice arrows to freeze enemies, or make a path across lava/water, and Light Arrows to use against the final boss. --->
The square at the bottom right tells which button is being pressed. (Example) Blue square = A Button. Green square = B Button. Yellow square = C Buttons etc. This was probably done to make sure Dark Link could mimic Link's movements and attacks correctly. If you still don't believe me, all I can say is go download the debug ROM for yourself.
I play CoD, but I have to say it is one of the most overworked games in the world. I've played Zelda, Final Fantasy, CoD, Battlefield, Minecraft, Skyrim, Halo, Dead Island, and a lot more. I have to say Zelda is one of the best games in the world. Pokemon is also a classic :)
I'm glad they didn't use that room for the battle with Dark Link. It's a nice room, for SOME boss fight maybe, but I love the 'room' in which the battle does take place, as we know it :D
Things I noticed: Link has a white collar Beta room 2's walls are placed in the ice cavern on the final edition Dark lins arena reminds me of either a dark House, or the forest temple Stalfos arena was in our very first glimpse of Ocarina of time (Before it was refered to as such, back then it was "Zelda 64") No Text explaining what room you've entered
The Arwing’s flight path from a certain sequence in Star Fox 64 where the Arwing was being tailed was used as the flight path for Volvagia. It was never fully removed from the game. It was covered in Iwata Asks: iwataasks.nintendo.com/interviews/#/3ds/zelda-ocarina-of-time/2/2

a beta room is a room that was originaly created but is never used useally beta things have some kind of problem with them or are different then what was originaly expected so it gets scrapped and replaced pretty much every game has bonus material that never makes it in and can be viewed and exploided through cheats and hacks also beta things are used for tests to see if if the game mechanics work and arent used because they just are test material hope that answers your question
One the guys name is Link the princess is Zelda, 2 it's not supposed to be realistic it's a game your supposed to play and beat it. it's not like that COD crap where you go around shooting people. Legend Of Zelda is a classic.
some of these you can kinda tell what they are by looking at them like 1:10 looks like a beta version of the temple of time 1:32 is the arena where you get the bow & arrow in the forest temple 2:15 if youve seen the zelda 64 preview thats that area where the jack skellington looking fellow shows up 3:30 looks like the same test room for a majora's mask video i saw O.o but awesome stuff
the gallery? its just a thing you can see in hyrule castle as a kid. just walk in when going to talk to princess zelda and look into the right window and youll see a bunch of pictures of characters from mario.
Fox: He took down an Arwing with a boomerang!? He's got real potential... we could use someone like him. Falco: Fox, that was Slippy's Arwing. Fox: ...oh, right. Nevermind. We're done here. Peppy: DO A BARREL ROLL!
Maybe I am wrong, but Beta Room 1 looked a little like the room where you fight the Skeleton King in and his soldiers in Ikana Canyon - Majora's Mask, although a bit smaller.
i love how in the begining link walks out and then theirs a AWR wing shooting at him. "aaahhh what a beatiful day" *gets fired at by lazers* "OH SHIT!! "
I dont really think people is actually SERIOUS when they say they hate Navi, they are just making a statement about how she is always telling you what you should do
In the 3DS version of OOT, that room in Zelda's courtyard that has the Mario pictures is more elaborate..it has a whole mario side scrolling level :p with blocks and pipes and such
i mean this game is only considered to be the best game of all time but i mean i guess you can think what you want im just saying this game is way better than cod

Holy shit this video is an ancient. Thank you RUclips algorithm for bringing me this hidden gem 💎
Haha love the R wing. I was like "Get him Starfox! Shoot him down!!!"
Navi said: "Hi! I'm a talking door!"
Easy.

You're welcome.
1:30 no its a beta stalfos room. when shadow link was included, the developer wanted to test the AI of it, and doesnt wanted to go all the way down to the Miniboss of Water-Temple.
believe it or not the beta version of The game had this stuff its real.

+Cyrus Bolin LOL NO ONE GETS THAT XD
UltimateDailga12 wow ha-ha (>^_^)>
Well there you have it! Navi is a door!
I SWEAR that the sign says L is real 2401!
5:11
its incredible to think even though the game is already incredible that it could have been even better. new tunics, new temples...man i wish they came out with those additions when the 3ds version came out..
3:17 Link: wtf is this?
I think the ice and sky temple were suppose to br part of the Nintendo Disc Drive, an attachment for the N64 would allow for add-on content and even new games. Zelda was planned to also have an expansion pack on said DD, they even planned a new Earthbound and Fire Emblem.
The arwing was for z target testing right?
+Achilleas Economou i hear its testing the movement for the fire temple boss
+A-Bomb Mori why fire temple? the footage says otherwise but that was just for show
Achilleas Economou well the boss for the fire temple is a fire dragon so they had to test its movement. the r wing makes this a lot easier because the head moves and the body fallows where the head moved. and i'm not even sure the r wing is testing the movement or not.
+A-Bomb Mori I swear I saw it somewhere that is not in the fire temple lol long time since I watched and too lazy again lol
Achilleas Economou i didn't the r wing was in the fire temple. i meant the boss i heard its testing the movement of was.
I'm so happy with what they did to dark links room
To be honest, some Beta rooms looking bether than what they made at the end.
The Arwing was created to test and see how well the z targeting and link's items worked
Ugh, I wish I was born in at least 1990 XD Everyone hates me for liking LOZ
What? how old are you? what kind of fucktards don't like LoZ?
A troll was trolling months ago here :P
AND my classmates tease me for not liking CoD and liking LOZ, but that was a year ago XD
Lol kids today prefer mindless eyecandy over quality and good plot.
GamingLink
I would have destroyed my child's xbox 360 or ps3 right in front of them if they ever told me COD is better than LOZ.
"Hi! I'm a talking door!"
Pffffft I love it!
What is the name of 1:18 song?
Song of Storms
Josué Amorim uh no it's not it's the legend of zelda remix song i think all i know is it's not the song of storms
what of all Remixes ?¿
Wendy Evans Super Smash Bros Brawl/3DS/Wii U - Ocarina of time Medley
It was on super smash bros brawl everyone has that game!
lol "i´m a talking door"
great vid!
Beta room 1 was used in Majora's Mask when you fight the dead king of Ikana Valley. Beta room 2 looks a lot like the final boss room in Majora's mask
..I'm not sure if my eyes are bad, or what but.. He just asked why Link.. had an earring in his ear..
those star fox flying things where made for the final boss in the fire temple in the adult link stage
It's not fake, it's the debug ROM. The programmers wanted a way to test the Dark Link fight without going half way through the Water Temple.
awesome. the music was awesome around the beginning where you had mixed some ocarina songs
No, not children.
Babies do.
Yes sir or mam, that is the most accepted theory.
i dont think the last thing should be considered an easter egg because a lot of the other nintendo things were put into the game to save programming time like the star fox fighters to mimic the flight of the fire temple boss. They probably just copied the text file over, and rather than being an easter egg is just a coincidence.
well the test rooms were an easter egg in wind waker if you dont belive me the cheak every house out
lol good point oh yeah starfox was in the game too well i guess thats not a cheat either
This game is better that CoD and that's a fact.
dude look at bottom left of screen blinking GREEN square. possibly used for a GREEN SCREEN TEXTURE
No, but it comes with a large shake (in flavor of choosing!)
it's really nice to see how everything started, thanks for the video!
he's on a gamecube version.
beta room 1 is first version of temple of time (i think) beta room 2 is most likely modified a bit and used for majoras mask battle.
It says Eternal Star, marking the star in the fountain on Mario 64. OOT was built on the same engine so they used a lot of the same graphics for both games, that's why the same block of text is in there =)
This video came out closer to the release of OoT then today

If you go to the ending screen of OOT, were it says The End, if you wait there,it'll start playing different versions of Oath to Order
Exactly, and MM was the most unique and dark Zelda game ever created. I just wish they'd hurry up and make it for the 3DS.
the stalfo's room was actually a part of a replica of the first dungeon of the first nes Zelda, just for tests,
a beta room is a room that was originaly created but is never used useally beta things have some kind of problem with them or are different then what was originaly expected so it gets scrapped and replaced pretty much every game has bonus material that never makes it in and can be viewed and exploided through cheats and hacks also beta things are used for tests to see if if the game mechanics work and arent used because they just are test material hope that answers your question

i remember when COD had a storyline
I seriously read that in Judge Judy's voice...
the beta room if you've played majoras mask and go to the milk bar the beta room is supost to represent the milk bar without the bar but the stage
i just think its funny how many secrets lie in this game and it is so old its amazing!
The Ocarina of Time medley in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
some of these you can kinda tell what they are by looking at them
like 1:10 looks like a beta version of the temple of time
1:32 is the arena where you get the bow & arrow in the forest temple

3:30 looks like the same test room for a majora's mask video i saw O.o
but awesome stuff
Cool secrets.... I think I was more impressed with the music in the background though xD
the sound is incredible!
the gallery? its just a thing you can see in hyrule castle as a kid. just walk in when going to talk to princess zelda and look into the right window and youll see a bunch of pictures of characters from mario.
that thing at the end made sense of the big thing about lugi being real, it obviusly ment link was here
Beta Room 2 kinda looks like the last boss room in Majora's Mask when you're fighting Majora's incarnations.
laser attack? that must be the starship from star fox
1000 comment ona 13 year old vid time flies
Fox: He took down an Arwing with a boomerang!? He's got real potential... we could use someone like him.
Falco: Fox, that was Slippy's Arwing.
Fox: ...oh, right. Nevermind. We're done here.
Peppy: DO A BARREL ROLL!
It's official, the denizens of Corneria are no taller than the ankle of your standard Hylian child.
Dude, the talking door... I REALLY WANNA SEE THAT IN A GAME.
And don't we all want a bit of room 3 in our lives sometimes? ;D
Maybe I am wrong, but Beta Room 1 looked a little like the room where you fight the Skeleton King in and his soldiers in Ikana Canyon - Majora's Mask, although a bit smaller.
i guess its only to be expected, majoras mask and ocarina's physics and stuff like it were both essentially the same.
i always wanted to go inside the castle SO badly when you peer in through the window or are in front of the main entrance outside
the arwing in ocarina of time is a mystery that i guess no one will ever know really for sure why it was put there....
i love how in the begining link walks out and then theirs a AWR wing shooting at him.
"aaahhh what a beatiful day"
*gets fired at by lazers*
"OH SHIT!! "
I dont really think people is actually SERIOUS when they say they hate Navi, they are just making a statement about how she is always telling you what you should do
You are very correct. Especially that the game was released in 1998... Graphics were crappy, but we dealed with it.
When you shown the easter egg at the end. I was actually trying to make out the lettering not to long ago.
involves unused elements of the game that are simply meant to test how it works (which every game has to do, btw)
In the 3DS version of OOT, that room in Zelda's courtyard that has the Mario pictures is more elaborate..it has a whole mario side scrolling level :p with blocks and pipes and such
