I decided this is my favorite game of all time when I played it years ago. thanks for breaking down all the cool game design! all of these things contributed to my enjoyment but I'd never analyzed how the mechanics work together to make a fun game :D
My first playthrough with reading all dialogs was just 60 hours to beating Creator. It was before releasing 1.0 though. Arena grind alone took me a week :D
Yeah, Project terra has kinda a slow progress, at least they have playable first act demo, but still too far from finish. I don't believe it is possible in 2025, 2026 probably optimistic too.
Yes, it is a masterpice. Give it a try. This game has more logged time in it than any other Steam game for me. (though I want admit it has poor replayability - you probably finish it once and then couple times with NG+ features). I also wrote item/stat randomizer for it to spice things a bit.
Yeah, I agree. It's starts out with the basics in the tutorial dungeon. Later gives you one element and tier 1 combat arts and keeps going until you have all elements and tier 3 arts. You also get side quests for advanced tactics like dash canceling. It's really smart!
I love your videos mate! Been wanting to play this one for a while but its just been sitting in my library. Are you going to make a video on Space Marine 2? Have you been playing it? Cheers
Thanks! Nope, I haven't played Space Marine 2. I'm not really into Warhammer. The only game I played is Vermintide 2 with some friends, which was a pretty good time.
@@GehrmanGaming I'm really not into Warhammer either but Space Marine 2 is easily my game of the year. Seeing your hunt showdown video and the way you break down that games mechanics makes me want to strongly recommend the game to you. PvE gameplay is fantastic.
This is a great game with absolutely disgusting location design and platforming associated with it. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been stuck in a situation of “I don’t understand where to go next” and the answer turned out to be some kind of ledge that you can’t see if you don’t know that it’s there
All platforming challenges are optional. Hidden ledges are intentional thing that was awesome to find for me. Unless you trying to 100% chests+quests, why bother about platforming puzzles?
@@mapron1 I'm not talking about secret places, but about story and side quests. The game has a lot of problems related to platforming because of the 3D map in 2D execution. Constant problems with understanding where you can jump and where you can't. Problems with determining whether you can jump from point A to point B because it is not clear at what height they are. Ledges hidden behind other objects and other idiocy. I spent quite a lot of time on the game, reached the city in the icy mountains and somewhere after that I left and never returned. I like the plot and the combat, but all the movement between them is disgusting
WE NEED MORE CROSSCODE PUBLICITY OH MY GOD
its almost fated to be stuck as a diamond in the rough when it deserves to be in the sky

@@Dima666Air 'lot' the arrogance. Or maybe it is a skill issue on your part lol
Stop blaming the game if you can't find your path
