This is one of my versions of self care even though it hate doing it and it's super overwhelming and almost anxiety inducing but I come from a family of hoarders and as I've gotten older I've started to see signs of hoarding behaviors in myself which scares the hell out of me
loved this!! Also side note - there isn't a time line on aerie/AE returns and they can usually find it for you/or they emailed you a receipt! (unless they've changed it recently!)

Your clothes declutter videos are always so satisfying to watch and it gives me a lot of motivation to declutter 💪 One thing I always hope to see but that no one films it's while discarding the clothes that you can't donate as they're by far the hardest ones for me to let go. I usually put those clothes in a clean garbage bag that I will most likely leave forever in the garage. I would be so motivating and satisfying just to see someone grab that pile and toss it directly in the kitchen bin haha that way it's not going out of it.
I purposely don't show it so that people don't take it out of context and think I throw out all of the clothes I get rid of. I donate all of my clothes to a woman shelter or homeless shelter! And then the ones that are not salvageable I just throw out

So something like that a lot of places accept clothing recycling and stuff
You should look up to see what you have in your area. Where I am in in Texas they have many bins located throughout the city that I am in and you can throw the clothes in
We also have a huge homeless population being in a large city so we also are able to hand it off directly if needed to
Love this video. I did the same last week and did a decluttering and organizing on my closet and it felt so good, sold some of them so I can invest in some good quality items but also donated some of them. Could probably have declutterred some more pieces though, but I need to find replacement items for them first in my style

Love your "chatty" home vlogs! It's like hanging out with a friend 😊 I love that you say you have a good body image but this is something I struggle with so much as a "bigger" tall girl. If this is something you've worked on and feel you have good advice for, would you mind sharing? We seem to have similar builds (only 5'7" but also an active size 8-10) and I'd love to hear from someone "who looks like me" how they were able to reach body acceptance in a society that just wants us to be "small". Thanks for all your honest and real content! 💜
Honestly I don't feel like there's one straightforward answer to this. I feel as though over the years seeing more midsize (size 8-10) bodies on social media helped me! I also have a partner who is always hyping me up and makes me feel so confident in my body which helps!
Agreed, a supportive partner is helpful! You just seem so comfortable in your own skin in general, and I admire that about you 😊

Looove how it turned out! Nothing better than having all your clothes on one same area where you can see everything at once! I hang all of my tops as well because in my organized and structured mind, everything should be together rather than some things in drawers, some things hanging. I dont have a ton of closet space so I do fold all of my active wear but its all in one drawer so it also makes sense. You could potentially get a tall narrow dresser to store your underwear, socks, bathing suits and maybe pajamas? And that way you can have more open shelves. And in the fall and winter you can use those shelves to fold sweaters but also have them been visible instead of having them in bins.
And just curious, where do you keep your shoes, bags and accessories?

We don't have room for a dresser in the loft sadly!! But I'm ok with that! We have a dresser in our bedroom for PJ's which works 🫶🏻 Will have to re-organize once fall/winter comes with all my sweaters though but I already knew that!
I'm not a big shoe/purse person honestly! I keep my everyday purses (I have 2) by the door hung up in the entryway! And we have a shoe rack in our mudroom for shoes! But I'm a very minimal person with shoes: 1 pair of running shoes, 1 pair of sandals etc! I maybe have 5 pairs of shoes in total. But it's not very common to keep your shoes in your closet here in Canada I don't think. Most people leave them by the door. 😅
@@CarterSullivan totally get that and, honestly, you chose great bins that dont look too bulky or heavy so it still looks super airy and organized.
And omg good for you! I’m a big purses/shoes junky and sometimes I wish I wasnt 😩 lol but thats great that you dont have to figure out a whole storage space for those. Thanks for the video, it was really satisfying to watch :)
