    Looks like it’s working good.

I like to make my groomers more like a road grader supported front and rear, not like a wood plane. I find on smooth trail they pull easy and when you hit bumps they bite yours does the opposite pulling hard when its loading up on smooth trail then easy when it dumps over the bumps.

I have found it’s short comings and plan to try and adjust things in the off season. It doesn’t really work on packed moguls like I had hoped it work’s awesome with a fresh snow.

There is not one perfect in every situation groomer or snow drag. A rebar mat will work plenty good enough for low traffic trails. A custom rebar mat with heavy like 1/2" rebar and 1 foot squares works wonders. Like 10-12 bars for a 10-12 feet long about 4 foot wide mat. I use one pre-season. And when the trail is set I have a grader type towed groomer.

How about a sliding adjustment plate on the front where the cutters are in case you get stuck on the trail?

I will need to do something I think to disengage the cutting surface for when it’s not required or to prevent me from getting stuck in certain situations.
I want to try it out and see where it fails before I modify it to make sure I correct it in the best way possible. The trails at the property are way more challenging than around the lawn at the house.
