A SONG FOR BIRSA

Remembering tribal icon Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary.
The day is being celebrated as 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas', to mark the day sharing a biographical documentary film 'A Song for Birsa' (1979). The film directed by Raja Dasgupta and Anish Gupta presents events in the life of a tribal leader of Chhota Nagpur, who fought against the feudal landlords and the British rulers in the 19th century.
The film is presented by the Films Division and digitized by NFAI.
