This is the reason I enjoy your channel. Great and clear information that I can use. I’m definitely going to try these techniques on my trip to Austria.
Great to hear. Have a fun trip to Austria!
Such an underrated video. Thank you for this! I’m convinced!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for your comment!
Great video, JP! I like the fine tuning concept of letting the regular ND do the heavy lifting and keeping the variable precision on top. Nice!
Glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for your comment!
Love this video! I really appreciate my ND filters but this video reminded me of things I’d forgotten about and showed me some I’d never thought of - thanks so much for all the time you take to prepare these informative videos 🙏🏽
You're so welcome! Glad you found it so helpful!
Thanks for Sharing!
Good Stuff!
Great to hear! Thanks for the comment!
great video, you bring me my memory back into 2018 when visit Stockholm at this time I using a entre level camera Canon and I don't know any things about photography , but I manage to took great photos.
Good point on making time lapses looking more professional. I’d noticed the difference earlier but didn’t know how it was achieved.
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for your comment!
@@TheSlantedLens would of been nice using a circle polarizer along this video content how you shot it
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your comment!
Great video! i would love to see whats in your camera bag.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
JP, great content as always! is the step down ring Nisi as well?
Yes, the step down rings are Nisi.
…and Stockholm girls dig ND’s! 😉 Great video, I’m inspired to dig my old filters out, thanks
They were a very fun group. Thanks for your comment!
Awesome I’m going on a Caribbean cruise soon so will pack the nd filters for some timelapse vids of this ship leaving ports
Sounds so fun! Enjoy your trip and your timelapse!
I’m from Sweden and visited Stockholm last week! It was a very nice experience.
Do you use a polarizer also or just NDs?
Generally I use just ND. Trying to use a polarizer and and ND gets complicated. If I am doing landscapes I just use the polarizer.
This video has been a very important explanation on how the ND filters can improve the quality and bring out the best of your photography. Love that country so much heritage.
Glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful!
Great reminder as always great video. You went to Sweden 🇸🇪 😮 just for ND filters you are a lucky man,let me know how you manage that 😊.
We did a lot more than ND filters. More to come!
Nice!
When did you visit us, june, july?
We were in Stockholm in June.
Thanks for the informative video, I've learned a lot. If you are using a 6 stop ND filter and a 1-5 variable, ND filter, which goes on the lens first?
I put the 6 stop on first.
Hi The Slanted Lens, so if I've understand it right you're are stacking the Nisi ND filters right? Doesn't it affect image or video quality? Besides that what's your advise for a ND filter combined with a lens protection filter?
This is a good tip. For still photography - let's see if these steps are correct: 1. compose 2. focus 3. leave it and switch to manual focus 4. put the ND filter 5. release the shutter remotely or with the timer.
Wow very informative video. You have gained a new subscriber to your channel. Love the time lapse. Can you tell me how you achieved it. Step by step. I am a newbie to photography😊

Newbie question here, when shooting in mid-day sunlight or water shots, would stacking a polarizing filter be a good idea? Or would a polarizing filter defeat the effects of using a ND filter? Thanks!
How do you get those reflections on the water ? What’s the shutter speed and the F stops ?
We share all those things in the video. Go ahead and watch the whole thing.
I cant tell at the beginning as you explain your system you use...You put all 3 nd filters on one step down?
It depends on how bright the day is and what my aperture choice is. You can use just the variable or two or three filters.
i feel so out of place as someone who doesn't like shallow depth of fields.
Why? Shoot what you want to shoot. Photography is about you not about others. Unless you're doing client work, you're shooting what they want you to do anyway.
Enjoy yourself.
It really is an artistic decision!
Everyone, go to stockholm before it is destroyed by the inland ice or arctic flooding, depending on what climate myth you believe in.
It has risen out of the ocean since the last ice age and will either go under again or keep going up.
Stockholm is beautiful! Thanks for watching!
