First boss, you can multiply by 8 and divide by 4 to achieve a x2.
Or x6 /3
Or Last, to get 25, then Cash to add 3.

I can’t help but be impressed, just when you think you’ve seen the last of “original” roguelike ideas, BAM. Calculator roguelike
I think these are all becoming part of a new subgenre of "Balatro-likes" at this point (kind of like how there are Survivorlikes due to the popularity of Vampire Survivors). The games share the idea of taking an existing non-video-game concept (poker, scrabble, chess, typing, whatever) and adding a shop to it that somehow adds customized options and leads to getting big numbers in one way or another
Here's more concepts that would use this formula:
- Bingo roguelike
- Word search roguelike
- Tetris roguelike
- Minesweeper roguelike (this might already exist lol)
- There's an argument to be made that the video game Bookworm from years ago is already a word search roguelike
So I'm sort of skeptical about this calculator game, since I mostly feel like it's an uninspired/formulaic game as it is right now. Of course it's still in early so the creator has an opportunity to switch things up and make it really worth playing

Very certainly this is less original than you would seem, this is but an unathorised clone of the Calculator Game
First the typing roguelike, now the math roguelike. Can't wait for the history roguelike

Should lower the parallax movement, or just remove it at all. I get going for the Balatro feel, but sometimes, stuff just feels out of place. Boss power can take some of the top right empty space instead of being a small line. UI UX is mostly the issue, with the feel. Otherwise the idea is quite neat

Well he's trying to minimize button presses, and also not over-use any one button. so that's a use of the +, 5, and 4 keys. Also the plus key is one of the easiest to use to if it can be avoided we'd want to.
@happygilmore2137 But he did 5 x 10 then +9. So he still used the plus key. And the times key. And many other keys, lol.

I don't think it rounds down, I think it truncates the decimal, meaning it just cuts off.

At 14:14 you could have just done 52/5, assuming it just floors the number for rounding purposes.

It would be cool if there were challenge rounds where you were given specific keys (that you don't own) to achieve the target value and get more of a reward.
For the division I think it just ignores what would appear after the dot for simplicity, also because the mod button exists
In euclidean division we always round down.
12:26 I’m not sure how this would work depending on the button in the top right w/ the 10, but if you make it 25, reverse to 52, if that number adds 10 (idk if that is how that works) then you get 62

On wave 15 boss you could of cut to 96 square root 9 to 3 and multiply by 32 ❤ think your move was better lol .
