What’s your scent of the day?✨ I’m wearing Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds & Emeralds. Share it below.👇
@@lukeparfums Diamonds and Emeralds. 😉
@@leahmiranda8359 I see what you did there.😁🧡

Hello sweetheart! I'm so glad you took the time to test the fragrances. I'm honored you mentioned me in your video. 😊 As we talked before you know I adore those dupes of Midnight Poison and Coromandel. On my skin they are very elegant, sophisticated and somehow rich soapy and earthy smelling. We don't have to agree in tastes. And that is the beauty of diversity. Respect is what it takes. Like you said it's a hit and miss like we've talked and honesty is the most important thing. I truly adore those scents on my skin just for the scents themselves. If I came across another ones closer to the originals I might like them or not. It's those particular ones Ilike. And it's totally stupid people get offended if someone does not like what they like. So what? We like what we like period. Thank you for trying those recomentations and most important the honest review. Love to you dear Luke
Hi dear Ana, and thank you so much for your kind words! I’m delighted that these two fragrances work for you. Don’t get me wrong, Miss Dior Chérie and Midnight Poison were pleasant. I like Chérie, and Midnight Poison might still grow on me. Of course, we can agree to disagree. I absolutely agree with you that it’s childish to get offended because someone dislikes a fragrance you enjoy. I got these because I wanted to try them, and that’s that. I'll always give you my honest opinion in my videos.🙂🧡
my scent of the day ? Jontue ! ❤
Thanks for sharing!🧡
Hi Luke!😊
The Dua dupe for Jovoy Fire at Will is called The Vanilla. It’s a wonderful dupe for the Jovoy, and I do love the Jovoy 😂 I’m completely happy with the dupe.
I also am really enjoying Montale Sweet Vanilla. I didn’t love the note that Montale fragrances posess. I’m happy to report that that synthetic note completely disappeared after nearly a year of sitting, and ignoring it.
I decluttered my dupe of Cheri. I’m perfectly happy with Miss Dior Parfum. ❤
Another great video. I do love them all!
Hi Leah! Thanks for sharing the name of the Dua dupe. It’s a decent vanilla scent but I don’t feel like I need a full bottle. Montales can be tricky; I agree. Miss Dior Parfum is beautiful, sweeter than Chérie though. Thanks for another lovely comment!🙂🧡
Forgot to say, my scent of the day is a Divain dupe of Athalia that I've been wearing non stop for days... Sauvage elixir I adore because of scent memory. My husband got a sample and it was the only perfume we wore in our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar 2 years ago. He did not like it but wear it anyway and i loved it on him
That’s a beautiful scent memory. Perhaps Elixir is more popular among women than men. Who knows? I don’t hate the original Sauvage, but Elixir just isn’t for me. Thanks for watching, Ana!🙂🧡🧡
My scent of the day is BBW Diamond of the Season (fine fragrance mist) layered with Chanel Allure. Burberry Goddess smells different every time I spray it which is usually only at night before bed. I've yet to wear it out. I have Chanel Coromandel but I rarely reach for it. I always say that I'm going to wear it more in what's considered "winter" where I live... Then I don't. I'll always keep it (Coromandel) in my collection though. Goddess is a one and done fragrance for me. I like it enough but won't repurchase.
Hi there! I love Chanel Allure. I suppose Coromandel is more of a winter fragrance. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Goddess and Coromandel.🙂✨
Enjoyed tfs i have one dupe for midnight poison
Thanks for watching!🙂
nou rose patchouli (a polish brand) makes a very nice perfume that is close to midnight poison - I have both. It is not a dupe and not meant to be but it is quite close. Also I have coromandel and trussardi black rose has a similar vibe to me. It is definitely not a dupe but I feel some similarity.
Trussardi Black Rose sounds interesting. It’s hard to find a spot on dupe for Midnight Poison, isn’t it? Thanks for watching!🙂
Lovely video luke💖 I once tried Devains L'instant by Guerlain and it did smell the same. However the perfume didnt last and went bad very quickly so i wont try more. My scents of the day: I started my morning with Carolina Herrera by Carolina Herrera, later i put on EA Red Door (influenced by Gabi and i love it 😂) and Red by Giorgio Beverly Hills is my bed scent ( i dont know why but skanky perfumes put me right to sleep 😂)
Thanks!🙂 I’m glad it smelt the same but you’re absolutely right. You never know how long the juice will actually age. I’ve never had a designer perfume go bad. They last for years. I don’t think I’ll be getting any more dupes for the moment either. Oh, my goodness! Red Door is potent! I’ve heard great things about Giorgio Red. Thanks for watching!🙂🧡
@@lukeparfums Red Door is potent indeed! At first it scared me a bit because the initial spray smells like Lalique Lalique and i only like Lalique in the drydown, but its a completely different and lovely perfume. Giorgio Red is sooo good! Took me a while to get used too because at first it was even too skanky for MY taste but once it sets its gorgeous, it does smell familiar in the drydown but i cant figure out what it reminds me of
Red Door reminds me of SpellBound and Vanderbilt but it really packs a punch. I’m more interested in the original Giorgio. I’m awaiting a small bottle in the post.😁
@@lukeparfums still on the fence about the OG Giorgio because we get the made in Spain version and i've heard the made in US is way better
Well, it is an American classic… That makes a lot of sense.
Hi Luke! Great video. I have never really been a fan of Dupe Houses. In my experience, I find the practice a little dubious and I'll explain why. I don't believe you can create a quality fragrance for a fraction of cost. I feel the dupes I have tried in the past used very poor quality ingredients. One Dupe house claimed to use all natural ingredients but when I emailed them to ask about the ingredients because they did not list them, they ignored my email. I ordered a Dupe of MJ Daisy and it made me sick! It went straight in the bin. Personally I would rather just have a roller ball or travel spray of an expensive perfume than a dupe,.
@@crewlworld Hi there. You raised some very interesting points. I only buy from reputable dupe brands though I usually just go for the real thing if I love a particular perfume. Where I live, every major shopping centre has a perfume shop where they sell these “questionable” dupes. They decant them for you. Who knows what ingredients they use? I wouldn’t spray those on my skin.
But also, I don’t think that designer perfumes cost more than a few dollars per bottle to make. They really don’t, but you pay for the brand name, perfumer, marketing, and the quality and craftsmanship that went into creating the fragrance. Additionally, these brands have strict quality control measures in place. So, there are advantages and disadvantages to buying dupes. Thanks for sharing your opinion!🙂
@lukeparfums Absolutely 💯. Designer anything these days costs very little to make. What it makes costly is the marketing. They pay millions of dollars in advertising. So, people, don't fall for that old chesnut called brand. Some dupes are even better then the original fragance. Enjoy 😉
@@reginashdown And once we’re aware of that we can make more conscious purchasing decisions. Whether to dupe or not to dupe is a very personal choice. I’ve yet to find a dupe that is better than the original but I’m sure there are some out there. Thanks for watching!🙂
The Divain dont sound that spot on. I have this thing usually where if I try something that others have said is spot on, I usually think it isn't 😂 I think I over analyse.
I tried a miss Dior perfume oil impression as I'd never tried miss dior Cherie before but I didn't smell popcorn or strawberry especially, more pineapple so I wondered whether yhst was similar at all... Sarah Mayes had said it was spot on, so perhaps the later version? I'm not sure.
Midnight Poison, I agree, it's dry and not sweet. I have Lalique Perles de Lalique and people say that's a dupe but it's not at all. It's got a feeling of it but it's too sweet and light and uplifting to be a dupe. I also have KvD Sinner which again is a feel of MP but not spot on at all. I'll keep looking 😂
Hi Claire! I think I also tend to be sceptical about such claims until I test the dupe for myself. But then again, you can’t go and buy every dupe on the market. Chérie 2011 does not have any popcorn or caramel. I remember seeing Sarah show a bottle of the original Chérie from 2005.
I agree that Perles de Lalique is in the same ballpark but definitely not a dupe. Surprisingly, I don’t find it sweet. It was very dry and woody on me. YSL Elle is much prettier. Both have a similar scent profile but aren’t dupes. If I love a fragrance, I usually just get the original but that’s not really possible in the case of Midnight Poison.😕
@@lukeparfums I had a few that overlapped with her but I did smell differences in a few which she did say were spot on, so who knows 😂 we all sense these things very differently I guess!
Does Devain accept Paypal ?
@@goerkelgoerkeli I’m not sure, sorry. I paid by credit card.
@@lukeparfums I have found out meanwhile They dont accept paypal, I would never use my Credit Card, even though I live in Spain, I only pay with paypal if I order from an online Shop, have you heard of eclat? They have got good quality dupes, too
I have a credit card that I only use for online shopping. Yes, Éclat was another dupe brand that I came across.
It's really good to get your take on these "dupes / inspired by." There are so many brands nowadays, my head gets in a spin sometimes; it's like they deliberately don't make an exact copy 😂.
I have finally blind bought Coromandel and it was my scent of the night; it was a love at 1st sniff and is everything I've heard you describe. 🤎
@@kathywitter6076 Hi there!🧡 Exactly, they do that to make us buy every single one of them and spend lots of money only to figure out that we actually want the real deal!😂 I’m so happy that Coromandel was a love at first sniff for you!
