*New* Tiny Bathroom Pod installation in our Glamping Geodesic DOME Build [Airbnb]

Installing the tiniest bathroom suite in our glamping dome. We bought a geodesic dome and it came with a bathroom pod full shower, toilet and vanity in less than 10 square feet. We bought our dome and bathroom pod from tru domes at the 2022 glamping and tiny home show and we're finally putting it all together. Unfortunately we realized very quickly that although the bathroom pod is practical it is too tiny for our guest to really enjoy the space. So eventually we decided against using the bathroom pod and built our own custom bathroom suite. However we enjoyed putting together this one piece all inclusive bathroom suite. As an architect who specialize in small home design, the dome would flow better if you turned the pod 180 degrees so that the door is in the same vicinity as the exterior door. This will create a "foyer" giving you space to hang coats, put luggage, etc. It'll also allow you to run plumbing in the dead space between the pod and the dome wall. Place the kitchenette on the opposite side of the pod, giving it it's own space for maneuverability without competing with people walking in and out of the dome. This will create a large, unobstructed space to place the bed.
I didn't see an outlet for the toilet in the base of the pod; is it a dry toilet? Also, consider how your plumbing will enter and exit the structure; which means more holes for Eric to drill. 😎Y'all are doing great. Keep following your passion and bringing your dreams into fruition!

Awesome advice 😊 we tried everything but in turn, decided against using the bathroom pod. We wanted to give our guest a bit of a luxury feel and realized the bathroom was way too small for the vision we have for this space. Did you install a septic

Fortunately it was already installed when we purchased the property. Here in our area you must have septic to get power.

I was so disappointed I really wanted to go with it, but Eric is a true builder and immediately was displeased with the way the bathroom pod was dictating how we proceeded. We found ourselves building around it and having to compromise so much just to work this in. But all isn't lost, we made a custom bathroom that made better use of the space and I'm sure our guests will appreciate our efforts.
