      @@Iamkarann exactly railway should stop thinking about common people and withdraw all subsidies on ticket prices, and use that money in infrastructure development . Because that's how highways are building right? Bus ticket prices are so high, no subsidies that's why the ticket prices are much more and bus owners easily pay the high toll fees

      Correct. Just by mentioning that we have improved road connectivity as the reason for railways downfall means trying to hide the fact that improved railway services will never come. Totally Agreed. Going for large distances from Point A to point B by road is much easier by cars buses but by railways, either train is not available or we have to change trains frequently. Very inefficient

    Building roads is so easy if we compare it to laying tracks , it loke chicken and egg problem, track replacement will take a lot of time , bullet train network will expand rapidly after 2028 , and also rrts will expand rapidly

    Corruption in Indian Railways is at it's peak.
    Freight train prioritization is causing significant delays for express and passenger services, resulting in substantial passenger wait times.
    Officialdom is an Obstacle.
    It lack's workforce .
    Elevated maintenance expenses are attributable to insufficient civic engagement and public awareness among transit users.
    Operating expenses are excessively high due to a significant number of passengers traveling without valid tickets.
    Finally, passenger safety is a significant concern due to the recent rise in accidents.

    Main Lucknow se Jabalpur Chitrakoot Express se jaata tha 5 -6 saal pehle, par train ki jo haalat hai, uske baad se maine, is train se yatra karna hi band kar diya, ab sirf apni car se travel karta hu, train ko 13-14 ghante lagte hai, jabki car 10 -11 ghante main hi pohoch jaati hai. 😊😊

    Once the Delhi Mumbai expressway is completed, Volvo buses will start competing with the Rajdhanis. Today Mumbai to Nagpur takes 12-13 hours by train , but only 7-8 hours by road.

    Also one thing to note, private bus transport lobbies especially in Southern states are hampering railway development here a lot. This isn't something people talk about and tend to undermine these lobbies

      Spot on sir. This has been the case for decades thats why all the railway development happens in north first and then south. Southern zones should be given equal preference to northern ones. Then people will travel more in railways in south compared to buses.

There are a lot of demands for more trains in Southern states but it's the politician-owned private bus companies and their nexus stopping this development here.     इन आंकड़ों पर मत जाओ रेल्वे को सुधारने में समय लगता है रोड़ बनाना आसान है रेलवे ट्रैक बिछाना कठिन है और उसका नवीनीकरण करना और भी कठिन है क्योंकि वर्षो से भारतीय रेल पर ट्रांसपोर्टेशन का लोड था जिस कारण से अब रेलवे का बोझ हल्का हुआं हैं इसलिए नवीनीकरण करने पर समय लगेगा । वर्षों से वहीं पुरानी ट्रेन दशकों से चलतीं आ रहीं हैं और उन ट्रैनों को रिप्लेस करना और फिर नई ट्रेन बनाना और उसको बिना परिक्षण के ट्रेक पर नहीं दौड़ाया सभी तरह के प्रशिक्षण और तकनीकी अहर्ताएं पूरी होने के बाद ही उसे रन किया जा सकता है और फिर आधुनिक रूप से ट्रेन रुट का विद्युतीकरण करना भी आसान नहीं है समय लगता है। पुरानी ट्रेन को रिटायर कर नयी ट्रेन को ट्रेक पर रन करने में समय लगेगा भारतीय रेल नेटवर्क सिर्फ 5000-10000 हज़ार किलोमीटर नहीं है बहुत बड़ा रेल नेटवर्क है। इसको पूरी तरह से डेवलपमेंट में वर्षों का समय लग जाएगा इसलिए सरकार बहुत बड़े स्कैल पर काम कर रहीं हैं और बहुत ही तेज गति से काम चल भी रहा हैं जो लोग यहां देख रहें हैं उन्होंने पहले रेलवे कि हालत देखी नहीं हैं चारों और गंदगी और मिस मेनेजमेंट था अभी तों बहुत कुछ ठीक हो गया है हमने देखा है 15 साल पहले रेलवे कि हालत रेलवे स्टेशन पर खड़े नहीं रह पाते थे चारों तरफ गंदगी और जर्जर ट्रेनें ये हाल था अब तों बहुत कुछ ठीक हो गया है पहले के मुकाबले माना कि रोड़ नेटवर्क अच्छा हुआ है पर इससे तों रेलवे को बोझ भी तो कम हुआ है।
    रेलवे हर दिन कुछ नया करने पर तेज गति से काम कर रहा है इसमें तंज कसने वाली बात नहीं है।
    हमारे देश कि यहीं समस्या है कि हम अच्छा देखना पसंद नहीं करते हैं। उसका कारण यह है कि हमारी नज़र सिर्फ कमियां ढूंढती है।
    सबसे बेकार तों ये चीज़ है कि देश में होने वाले हर काम को राजनीतिक नजरिए से देखा जाता है। भारत कि विकास कि गति सन् 2000 से शुरू हुई हैं और उसको कारण है कि 2000-2024 तक भारत में सरकारें स्थिर रहीं हैं राजनीतिक अस्थिरता नहीं रहीं हैं और यहीं कारण है कि आज जो हमें भारत के विकास कि गति दिख रही हैं वो भारत कि राजनैतिक स्थिरता कि वज़ह से आईं हैं। जिसमें अटल जी, फिर डाॅ. मनमोहन जी, फिर मोदी जी लगातार भारत में 25 वर्षों से राजनैतिक स्थिरता बनीं हुईं हैं।
    आप सभी ने देखा होगा कि इंदिरा गांधी कि हत्या फिर राजीव गांधी कि हत्या देश में कई प्रकार से राजनैतिक प्रतिद्वंद्व चला लगभग 15 सालों तक भारत में प्रधानमंत्री पर प्रधानमंत्री बदलते रहें और देश ने विकास कि राह नहीं पकड़ी उसका कारण है राजनैतिक अस्थिरता अब जो काम उस अस्थिर सरकार होने के कारण नहीं हुआ आज वो हो रहें हैं इसलिए धैर्य रखकर अच्छे नागरिक होने का कर्तव्य भी निभाएंगे तों अच्छा रहेगा।
    और रेलवे भी भविष्य में अच्छा प्रदर्शन करेग टेक्नोलॉजी के साथ अपडेट होकर इसमें आप और मेरे बीच तर्कसंगत बातों से काम नहीं बनेग।

    Not necessarily. Railways can still make Highways fret and sweat provided a thorough overhauling is pressed including punctual time keeping, cleanliness, passenger safety from goons etc.etc. At present, we fear to travel by train to a few destinations. IRS please rise to the occasion.😅😊😮

    Cheapest mode of transport and goods movement.
    (1) Water sea/river.
    (2) Railway lines.
    (3) Roads
    Transport through roads is costliest bcoz trucks can carry minimum and each truck needs minimum 2 people, Diesel, and toll taxes will keep increasing bcoz Road damage is immense and extremely costly.

    Indian railways average speed for non vante bharat trains 50-60 kmph only.. only 2 vandebarat trains have 90-95 kmph average speed..

    Railways are steady and yes one cannot lie down to sleep as comfortably as they do in trains
    For a day travel for about 4-6 hours roads are good for 14-18 hours trains are good and more than that air travel

    It is very true and I appreciate this. Railways has dropped down it safety, service quality and punctuality. There are less number of trains for poor people. Trains are so late that you cannot imagine. On the other hand Roads and Highways are much better for travelling.

    Railways me saare high speed general kardo aur ac chair car only kardo dekho Kitna zada passengers hota h. Cc can allocate 108 passengers against sleepers 72. Aur me ek aur chis dekha, kuch train me general se zada bhir sleeper me dikhta h, so sleeper hatana hi sahi h, aur woh sleeper coach ko general karo toh zada passengers. 6 passengers niche 3 middle 3 upper for Short distances.

    Railway se safar karne me dikkat yeh hai ke hume reservation karke hi jana padta hai. Aur jab emergency me general dibbe se travel karna pade toh usme muftkhor logo ki bhid jyada pareshan karti hai. Railway ne general dibbe badhane chahiye aur ticket checking 100% karni chahiye

    Train layi 200kmph ki lekin tracks 130 ke hai,woh bhi jaldi upgrade nahi kar rahe
    Heavy rush tracks ko 2 se 4 track banana hai,wo bhi jaldi nahi bana rahe
    Aur train ki jarurat hai woh bhi nahi la sakte
    Jo train chal rahi hai use 2/4 track hone par bhi 8 ghante late kiya jata hai(Special trains)
    Lekin ek bat manani padegi electrification bahot hua hai 4-5 saalo mai aur tripling quadrapling ka kam bhi hone laga hai

    Building Roads is a Costly process and it requires constant maintenance,
    The problem of transport of goods can be easily solved if goods are moved through the sea on ships Kolkata -giujrat dedicated ship route and the same route reverse can not just Move goods across India at a cheap cost but also save costly foreign exchange which is pumped daily through Diesel imports to sustain the network through roads.
