This game is all about consistency and shot execution. If you can keep the movement that activates the release going while tuning out the distractions of the indoor archery atmosphere you'll shoot well.
Draw,Anchor&Stay!! So many times i tried adjusting after anchor. I had to un learn that which was a bitch however i significantly improved staying put, Such a individual sport,
The ethos honestly has a lot going for it. It's basically a hunt worthy bow that's big enough for target. With prices of everything being what they are, people are just more interesting in dropping money on a single good bow that does it all vs get one for all the disciplines.
Or, hunting bows got so good they made the target bows obsolete. Especially with elite, the only difference between target and hunting bows is riser length (same cams and limbs between the two) (and their target bows lack the lower stabilizer bushing which I'm sure helps hunting bows nowadays) I was planning to shoot my Omnia for indoor this season (had the 75% mods). Got rid of it because their customer service didn't want to sell me parts after a mishap (meaning 10+ weeks leadtime)
There’s a reason there’s different classes but it’s just forgiveness the more you play with you equipment the better you’ll find yourself getting comfortable with it and it “ magically “ shoots better it’s just your body getting used to the bow
Wondering which bow you shot the most before doing this comparison? Maybe part of it is familiarity with the Ethos? When it comes to target bows I will take the longer ATA and brace height over the shorter bows. In the end though they are both really good bows and I don't think you can draw and conclusions from this comparison. It just depends on which one you like to shoot the most IMO. And don't forget the all important...which one looks the coolest. Verdict wins that one hands down !!
Might need to play around with your stabilizer setup on the target bow. Seem to get stuck or trouble breaking off centre. Ethos shot great, looks solid. Guessing the target setup is still setup for the fat arrows? so tune's probably a little off which wouldn't be helping. Not a massive deal at 20y and just for this challenge though.
My ethos came in about a month ago. First of all, i had to shim it all the way to the right from the jump. Also the bottom cable was rubbing real bad at the beginning of the draw cycle! We put the limbs in every order you can imagine and it still did nothing too help. Its a fantastic shooting bow but now ive sent it back to elite for them too fix it. All this time with it and its been nothing but problems. Really hoping elite can fix it so i didnt waste 1400$
Laughed on comment you might sell the verdict. Something was making a noise/creaking on your drawback. My verdict is very silent. Love the blue color. If you want to sell it let me know.
How do you like the UV Slider? And what stab is that on the Ethos? I’m looking to set up a hunting bow for indoor and 3D. Looking for something 33 or bigger ata, maybe Omnia/Era , Shootdown Pro, or Lift (haven’t shot a newer Mathews). Any recommendations?
@danielgregson2023 draw cycle is definitely smoother fs. I mean you should shoot booth and see what you like! I shoot both and the phase 4 was noticeably smoother!
@@jdbadventures9658 that would be a tough call for me since the phase 4 is older and not much cheaper, if I found one on sale or used I’d probably grab it though I hesitate towards used bows unless it’s someone I know
You’re probably losing some forgiveness by using a the wrong spine of arrow out of a softer shooting target bow. It takes a lot of shooting to build up shooting strength.

Finally! A RUclips channel that shoots Elite!
ayyyyyyyy we shoot elite haha

This is interesting because I shoot better with my hunting bow then my target. I’m happy I’m not the only one lol
Im planning on putting my target stabilizers on my Ethos for 3D and see how I do
Came down to the Ethos and Revex/RVX 4 for me this year......the Prime draw and hold won me over. Would still like an Ethos to play with though.
That’s funny, because when I did my hunting vs target, the short hunting bow also won. Maybe target bows aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

Great bows mate I am saving up for a verdict
👍

I had an issue with Elite a while back. Couldn't get parts for my Ritual. I was without my bow for over 4 months.
Just started watching you're videos, nice job! I can't help but think I'm watching jacked Jake Gyllenhaal in disguise though. lol
Haha sure not.

Mathews phase 4 33 if you can get your hands on one. So incredibly smooth on the draw cycle and holds really well.
@@jdbadventures9658 I’ll check it out, is it better than the Lift?

@danielgregson2023 I've had the phase 4 for around 4 weeks now and I'm loving it so far. Came from shooting hoyt

I have the EXACT same issue, fall off and not following thru !!! 🤬
You'd figure it's an easy fix...still struggling with it.
Nice Shootin Man !! 👌
Archery can keep you humble that’s for sure
Why not bigger shafts with the target bow ?
Wanted to keep the arrows the same.

Target bow is setup for 27’s…. I’m sure I was flying way nock high.
