My favorite deck this format for a competitive duel is traptrix, actually just because of the cheap structure deck (reprints are a bonus) and because I can follow pak in his journey and learn a lot from him. For a casual duel it's Dogmatika Alba Zoa by far, because of how cool the boss monster looks, how much I always loved ritual decks and because it's reasonably viable and super fun to play :).
It’s not the most consistent or powerful deck, but this seems like the absolute definition of a fun deck: strong enough to have a chance at winning a locals, cool boss monsters, not a deck many people see, exactly the sort of deck to be proud of for winning with!
The fact that Gate Guardian actually HAS this potential makes it my absolute favorite in the format. I love fusions as it is, and to see Guardian as fusions makes me extremely happy.
Actually such an amazing deck btw, I’ve only seen very few people mix Endymion with other engines let alone gate f’n guardian, actually insane how strong this deck is. Only downside is that it is incredibly flexible so your options are kind of endless, so people with adhd or lack of brain cells like myself go insane overtime using decks like these. LMAOO amazing video tho, so glad to see these type of cards put together like this.
This is so cool. I was playing a scareclaw endymion zefra (I call it SEZ lol) deck at my locals two weeks ago that I was experimenting with that was a ton of fun. Once I heard about the gate guardian support and ancient dragon coming back, I felt it would be interesting to take out the zefra engine and include the gate guardian engine instead. You just convinced me to try it out. Good stuff Sam!
Red Dragon Archfiend. My favorite deck hasn't changed since 5ds first was a thing. I can't help but adore Scarlight and Tyrant, but even a seasoned RDA lover like myself has to admit it's not the strongest deck so, I run a hybrid. Red Dragon Archfiend Swordsoul. It dominates in master duel, and I crush it at locals. Super strong and super fun.
I'm going to be real here, my favourite Deck this format is already pure Gate Guardian (coming from a casuals perspective) because I used a Deck to try make them work before the support even came out by pendulum summoning them with Dragonpit/Dragonpulse. It couldn't compete, but I just used them for sake that they're my favourite cards of all time. I have to get packs for them eventually :)
Favorite deck in this current format that I’ve been interested in is Branded Despia. 2nd and 3rd favorite decks are definitely Blackwings and Galaxy-Eyes. Those archetypes are just so much fun. Been building a Traptrix deck too thanks to Sam and Pak. 😊
For me I have to say hero is my favorite deck to play with the recent support from the previous set and the wake up hero’s cards from this set it give it a new life.
I'm super glad to hear that Sam won with a Gate Guardian deck. Had some of those OG Paradox Bros cards back from Metal Raiders. Started grabbing some Maze of Memories blisters and some single boosters. Definitely want to try and make a Gate Guardian deck myself too

Traptrix has been so great for a returning player who was crazy confused by all this new Extra Deck stuff haha. Shout out to Park it’s been fun to follow him using it.
Drytron is my favorite at the moment because it is cracked this format. Amorphactor Pain with Saryuja Skull Dread to dig for Terminal World, and cards like Triple Tactics Thrust being able to search Thunder of Ruler to straight up skip your opponents turn over and over and over again is so toxic but effective. Also I'm impressed with your Gate Gaurdian build, nice touch with Endymion along with Odd-Eyes Absolute and Vortex.

Favorite current archetype is prediction princess. I love competitive but, I have really been enjoying casual play atm. I have 2 really awesome builds for my Prediction Princess, 1. Uses Shaddoll/Invoked, the other uses a more pure build. And is extremely fun.

My favourite deck this format is Gold Pride Punk, as it uses my favourite engine in Punk, with a really cool concept in Gold Pride! Hopefully Cyberstorm Access gives Gold Pride some great support!

My favorite deck this format 100% has to be branded, I like fusion summoning a lot and the fact that it can summon dragoon so easy without running as many bricks as in the past is so nice, honestly drawing dark magician doesnt even feel bad since you can make it easier once it’s drawn.
My favorite deck this format is a bit different from most since I run Branded but because I love the anime I run Branded Red Eyes. It lets me summon my Red Eyes fusions while also being able to actually be competitive

Hi Sam! My favorite deck currently is Dragonmaids or Ojamas. Dragonmaids aren't quick, but they are powerful late game. Ojamas are quick and have a lot potential. If I play casual I use Dragonmaids and if I play competitive I use Ojamas. I really hope Ojama get some new support. The deck is starting to fall off because of all the negates people can get but, I have always liked Ojamas so I'll keep playing them. Have a great day and keep up the amazing videos!

Gate Guardian Combined: I can negate targeting on my own things thrice per turn. Tytannial in my Rikka Sunavalon deck: Hold my tributes. Rikka Sunavalon is still my favorite deck this format. Tytannial is so good in the deck.
I think I may have found a way to not only get around the Vertae strat to get out Dragoon, but on top of that also preserve the amount of cards in the deck in the process. Say my opening hand is Metaverse, Fusion deployment, Dark Hex Sealed Fusion, Red Eyes Soul and Prologue of the Destruction swordsman. I could use Fusion Deployment to get Red Eyes Black Dragon from deck to field, normal summon Hex Seal, Fusion into Dragoon, set Metaverse and set Prologue. Then, on my opponents turn I can lock them out instantaneously just by activating Metaverse so I can activate Secret Village of the Spellcasters from the deck, send Destruction Sword Memories and Buster Blader to the graveyard, chain with Memories to Fusion summon the Buster Blader, and then special out Buster Dragon. You have a spellcaster on the field, so you can use spell cards but your opponent cannot, and the Buster Lock would turn your opponents cards into dragons if they summoned monsters, AND their monster effects would be negated.
Plz help on this on 14:20 Sam summons beyond the Pendulum. He uses the effect how can Sam still pend Summon? Just wondering because I’m not really pendulum person.
Neither am i.. it confuses the hell out of me. I'm also still a GOAT player, but resoect today's game bc it has evolved into an actual game of pure strategy. It used to be I summon, you summon, Magic Cylinder, Mirror Force. Very ABC, although it took definitely not the same strategy as today's..
I just got back into the game after 19 years with Traptrix, but my favorite deck bar none is Earth Machine, and that's what I plan on slowly putting together as I get reacquainted to Yugioh. Great job, guys!

Favorite deck rn is 100% Dark world. You can actually use dark world dealins and card destruction without just losing to tears on the spot.

This format playing the branded despia deck for me is the funniest I loved the archetype from the get go when it was released.
My Favorite deck is still Tearlaments because I love the artworks and mill decks.
