I got on 10 meters around 10.00 EDT. The ban was covered from one end to the other. I was receiving in the 29.900 plus frequency. Boy did I have a ball. Lol Hope you get to feeling better
The bands are awesome ! Not really into contesting. I have same QT 60 . 10/11/12 meters really open ! With Digi rig I get FT8 with the QT 60. I keep power down to like 10-15 watts FT8. finals heat up. I am on hours at a time ! and battery ! Just a 5/8 wave ground mount vertical and getting DX like crazy ! Even CB wide open. I have IC 7300 and using 17 meters. Wide open. Hunted POTA ! . 20 meters FT8 went all night ! Great time to play radio ! And my radios 50% power or less and on battery ! Radio is lots of fun when the bands open so well ! Lots of POTA on 17/12 Meters ! 29 MHZ AM open ! The QT 60/80 does more than IC 7300 on AM. great radios ! 73
I worked a bit of the contest today just for grins.....been a while since I've heard 10 so packed top to bottom. 15 was pretty packed as well. Worked some pota on 20m this evening till the band went long and bammmm the band went wild lol....73 de KC5TER
I made dozens of contacts today and that was only when I could get in over the pile ups. Half I did on 20 watts and the rest on 150. Never seen it like this. K7ZFI
Today was my first time on hf and a new out the box g90 on a ss17 whip elevated counterpoise, qso with croatia, poland, Slovenia, belgium and republic Dominican from Central Florida, nobody from the state.
sorry bro i couldnt catch you! I literally grabbed the 7300 and setup on the pourch and ran off battery power set at 40 watts on my magnet mount and made 5 contacts lol
@@bigfranksworld same with 15m. It’s still booked right now after midnight here in Florida. A contest does not turn on the atmosphere, it just forces people to get on the radio and prove that the bands continue to work when people thought they won’t.
for once the SFI and K index cooperated. Got Russia on 10M booming. First time for me to Russia on SSB. It's Sunday AM here. This is the best since last solar cycle, I think. New hams....turn on speech processor or compression. You'll be heard more easily with the same power.
In major contests we almost always get the notion that the band is open, actually there are many operators enjoying the contest. On normal days very low activity on cw and ssb. 73 de Z33ST
We appreciate it Eric. We hope you feel better soon!

Really great presentation today. 10 meters is cool.
Yeah I’ve never seen the band covered from end to end! That’s saying a lot!
I made quite a few contacts on 10 meters and 20 meters so much fun
Had a contact from Long Island NY to Australia-10,011 miles 100 watts/ home brew 1/4 cfdp ! 11:04/24
It's like this a couple of years either side of the peak of every solar cycle.

I had never seen 10 meters that packed before. Got as many dx stations as I could

Time to dig out all the old cb radios i converted to 10m!!.
The dreaded words that cause many amateurs to switch the radio off, "CQ Contest"!😱

It's 8:30 pm pacific time and 10m is still hoppin.
I bet it is. Imagine if people all got on the radio in the evening on 10 it would surprise everyone , NOT during a contest
@@HamRadioConcepts Yes it would!
