So I guess we crossed paths today at AOAA! My cousin and I are getting into overlanding and he saw your Jeep in my picture as we stopped for lunch today! Wish I knew you had overland set up cuz I want to get some ideas! I had the red JKU that was cooking out the tailgate lol
Nice! It was such a beautiful day. I should do an episode on my “overlanding” setup. It’s pretty basic but it works well for me
@@DirtRoadTherapy would love to see that! I am purchasing some of the coffee gear in this video cuz I do love my coffee!!! But need some ideas on other essentials! I only plan to do like 1-2 night stays locally but want to sleep in the jeep too. So just figuring out what works for me but getting ideas from others
@@BeardedZ0mbi I’ve never had a good night of sleep inside my jeep, so I use a cot tent. I’d love a roof top tent or at least an awning but i don’t have that RTT $
@@DirtRoadTherapy yeah, when I bought my JKU in 2018 after selling my XJ, I got this and it came with a flat rhino rack. I decided to sell it. But now I regret it cuz it would have made putting a tent on so much easier! Lol but I can sleep just about anywhere so I think a small air mattress in the back wouldn’t be to bad for a night or two.
Also about the coffee, do you bloom the rocket coffee maker? Or just pour it in? I’m trying to decide if I want the rocket or the collapsible pour over. 8oz doesn’t sound like a lot of coffee tho! Lol
You really can’t get a bloom in the rocket. I much prefer the pour over. The rocket is really just a back up method for me now, in case I run out of filters
I think it’s time I get one of those rocket ones and start making my own on the trail.
Naaa I prefer to have you make it for me. 😂😂😂 I do think another order of 4lo needs to happen soon for me too.
