wouldnt you also account for the tool thickness (.25) on the transmission side too? Thanks for posting this btw 👍

Yes. That is correct. It’s been awhile since we did this. If we did not mention it in the video we should have. My apologies.

CSC vs external slave push style, which do you perfer?

Honestly this is our first experience with this style. I’d have to say it all depends on the intended use of the vehicle. I went this route for quicker engagement and better pedal feel, it was recommended by the guys at tick performance. It also has less moving parts which I’m a fan of. Less points of failure. However I do believe it will wear more quickly as it is basically in contact with the clutch springs at all times. More pressure will be applied as the clutch wears. I would highly recommend if doing this style to get a speed bleed hose for it. They are a pain to bleed without it. In a daily driver I’d want my slave externally mounted so that when it does go out I don’t have to pull the trans to replace it. (I have a truck in the shop with an internal one now waiting to be replaced). Not looking forward to it. And it will probably last longer as there is more play in relationship to the clutch springs.

What clutch and flywheel did you guys use?

Both are from SPEC we got through tick performance. I went with an aluminum flywheel to keep rotational weight a little lower. The clutch is a “stage 2” it’s a single disc with a spring hub. Rated for 800 hp. Next Friday will be a video of all the parts and cost breakdown. Stay tuned for that if you’re interested.

Get a manual from the manufacturer. You aren't in the bush without resources.

This is true. We expected something with the part but did not receive anything. We tend to fail to research thoroughly on average. It becomes an issue.
