    Dave Stieb's hunt for, and eventual completion of, a no hitter was such a good story that Jon Bois made a 4 part documentary about it.

    Man for once one of these where I actually would have done well. Had a bunch of guys they said late (also Smoky Joe Wood! wtf), and still was kicking around a ton of others:
    - Tim Lincecum

    - Cy Young (they only said his name a dozen times; one was a perfect game)
    - Ken Johnson (only guy to throw a no-hitter and lose)

    Question... Did the full snake occur after Joez's SECOND correct guess? Or was it only after his 3rd?
    It's the "batting around" debate, but for full snake.

      After 2 guesses each, we had a full snake. Batting around is getting 2 PA in one inning, but a snake is start to end + end to start.

    Philip Humber needs a video. Unbelievable just how bad he was after that perfect game. I can't imagine a more unlikely guy to throw one. He was terrible after, and very obscure prior. He had a magical day tho.

      Was he the one who got bailed out on the last pitch too? 3 and 2 to the last batter and he threw a pitch about 50 feet that bounced through the opposite batters box but the batter “swung.”

    Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw have two of the most impressive no-hitters of all time, just a year apart. Scherzer had 17K and Kershaw had 15K...and both had ZERO walks or HBP. Both were one error away from the most dominant perfect games you'll ever see.
