  • If you follow my flea market series you will recognize the antique frame saw I picked up for around $7.50
As part of my 500 subscriber giveaway, the top prize was the saw featured in this video. Now you can see the steps I took to restore the saw to its former glory.
    Enjoy!

It arrived about 2 weeks ago, but then I was out of town for a week. I guess I missed it when you posted the video since I kinda scanned all 900 listing, but still missed it. So this evening went looking for you, and found it. Thanks so much

Nicely done video. I don't understand why people are so anxious to shellac and stain saws. All that will do is raise blisters. If you use boiled linseed instead it wont. If you want it to shine, put a coat of bees wax on it. That's how they were manufactured and kept.

What is the blade length on your saw? Seems a bit shorter than the 27”-30”
Typical of those saws. Nice job btw.

Excellent job and such a beautiful child. How many hours is one eternity? Or did you just wait overnight?

+Brian Vice two days. It could have used at least one more night in the bath

Didn't sharpen and set the teeth? That's the most important part!
