Pavel Tsatsoulines “Simple and Sinister” program has you do only two exercises. The one arm kettle bell swing, and the Turkish Get Up. You do these every day for months at a time. I highly recommend the S&S program…

This is 90% of what my training has been over the last 3 years and my body transformation has been insane. I've lost 3% bf and progressed to the 48kg for all swings and TGU. This has made my life and training so much more "simple".

Love doing TGUs. Very under appreciated exercise that many people would benefit from doing (even with very light or no weight - the benefit comes from getting up and down off the ground which is not done often in our day and age).
The hardest part is learning the basics of the movement, but once you have that down it's a highly accessable movement.

For Olympic weight lifting it's a great exercise for core stability and overhead stability. This will help with your lockout

Spot on! you guys always convey great information. And break it down for all to comprehend & see the value of this unique exercise. I didn't utilize kettlebells until age 50, over last 8 years I incorporate TGUs into my workouts as a warmup 3 times per week .... And once a month perform entire workout with them for 30 minutes nonstop with 50-60 lbs ~ 50 Reps (25L + 25R). The TGU will truly redefine your body's mobility, awareness & functional strength Especially as you age!

When I am done planning a workout day, I look at the sheet and if I haven't included 6 sets of TGU's.. that is when I add TGU's to my workout

It's the fullest of full body. I have never lifted before last year, in my thirties. I do 20 TGU each day with a 25lb kettlebell and it feels way more meaningful than the other stuff i do like pushups

I started doing them a few months ago and now probably do 30-40 reps throughout the week. If you want abs, especially your obliques, you should do them. I've seen my abs get more defined over the past 3 months than over the past 2 years.

some people say, deadlifts and squats have more carryover, some say swings.
i think, that getups have the most carry over, in control, stability, balance, strength (if performed enough with enough weight) and overhead mobility
