Where to start with the gratitude!!? Thank you so much for the "Go Pro" perspective on the stair case. It was so helpful to see someone doing it step by step at each new stage of ascent. I tried the trail for the first time yesterday with my very athletic 50 lb dog and could not actually get him up from the first cliff line ledge after the scramble but never really found the cut outs. I may not have gone far enough to the right although my All Trails app showed me at the right place. I was also unsuccessful getting him up at the rock scramble on the Alternate Loop. You gave such wonderful photographic detail of the trails so I am not so intimidated by the narrow cliff edges. I now know we could access the top of the Indian Staircase Trail that way from a clockwise approach if necessary. I am also thankful for the tip for the user trail from Bishop to Indian Arch!! That is brilliant! I truly enjoy your photography skills and so appreciate you sharing your gifts with your viewers. You saved me a lot of failed practice time! I drive 3 hours from Ohio one way and return the same evening whenever I can visit and hike with my dog. Keep up the great work!
Glad the videos help to make your visits better! I know what it’s like to spend alot of time on the road. I’m never satisfied with my photography, always feel like it could be much better. I’m glad you enjoy it!
You were right about the colors coming in. We were in The Gorge 2 weeks ago, weekend of the 22nd, and the colors were beautiful! We saw them from Star Gap and Skybridge arches and they were vibrant. We took some folks not familiar to The Gorge to some old favorites, and had the best doggone bacon cheeseburger in my life at the Rockhouse. Enjoyed your video!
Awesome! This was a great Fall, best we’ve had in quite some time. I’ve always heard Rockhouse has great burgers. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
I didn’t know about it. I saw where someone had posted a video after the meetup had already happened. Sounds like a pretty good hike going from Hansons to Indian Staircase.
HI, Tob. Thank you for sharing. I had to be in the water to recover from my aching body from the dying hike. Just got home from the Atlantic sea. I believe Yamin is on vacation.
Not sure where the name came from. It does give off some echo. The rock is sandstone so it does have a yellowish tint, I’d say the sun adds to it some too tho. As always, Thanks for watching!
@@ExploringWithDRob My pleasure. Please continue inspiring the world. I very much enjoy your videos. Tons of surprises..Again, Sorry I missed your premiere.🥰🥰🍁🍁Cannot wait to see fall foliage fill out these mountains.
Hi, Rob. The thumbnail pic ic is gorgeous. Sorry, I will miss the premiere this time but will catch up on it ASAP I will be between the sea and the sky....🥰🥰🍁🍁
Yes, the second half of Indian Staircase is only for the sure-footed. Hope you get back in time to capture the autumn colors. Thanks for taking us along.
I think I should be back just in time for peak 🤞🏼 Just guessing it’ll hit toward the end of next week. You’re welcome, hope you enjoyed the adventure amongst the heavy breathing 😅
Hi D-Rob, We just hiked the Indian Staircase loop identical to your video. We accidently hiked through past the Adena Arch and climbed down a small path, thinking that was the only way out. It was very difficult climbing down but let me know if you've went that way before.
You found another one of the unofficial trails, that is known as the Adena Direct Trail. I’ve been up through there before but never down it, I’m sure it was tough coming down through all those root sections especially. Glad you got to check out the area, one of the best hikes in RRG.
Fun hike, great video
One of the best in RRG!
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Thank you! this is very informative. I plan to visit soon.
Awesome! You’ll love it!
