BRILLIANT what more can I say? WELL DONE. I've a handful of keyboards, I play a lot of Gary Numan including this classic. It's funny how it's in key of D then C then G then F & goes round the same key progression. I live in Edinburgh, I wish I could meet like minded folk like yourself. Nah the fantam & other keyboards a like AINT cheep. I have an audio & midi roland SH-201 that is also a creative sound keyboard & WOW, the sounds are stunning Cheers
Really, Really Nice... you must be very pleased with yourself ... closed my eyes... took me back to when I was standing outside the store which was playing "Airlane" from PP ... Went and bought the Album.. Vinyl in the good old days... Keep up the great work.
Yes that's right Airlane's the first track on the Pleasure Principal album. As you may know on the original album record/cassett that Engineers is the last one on side 2. I have the CD of this & many G N albums & on them are bonus tracks such as B sides & this included the pleasure principal. After Engineers is a trac called Randam which I bet you've heard. Cheers & please post more stunning demos like this you are very good.
Hey nice 1, I've almost finished my own cover version of this on my Juno G, hard work but worth it. I'm having trouble getting effects added such as reverb & so on but I'll get there as the chap in the shop I bought if from is giving me a hand, good service in that shop. I'll up load when it's compleate
Hey I LUV it. Gary N would also LUV it. I have a few good keyboards, I play a lot of G Nmn Kraftwerk & other stuff. WOW I love the fantam keyboards, not cheep thoug. Can you tell us more about the fantam? Do you do any other G Nmn stuff? If so, PLEASE up load more. I've nearly all Nmn albums, seen him in concert BRILLIANT is the leas I can say, very talented is G Nmn & you are to. Cheers from Rich
Brilliant version , im trying to learn this to add to my video covers ,, ive got Vox Humana sampled on my Nord Ekectro 3 which is a fantastic keyboard , all samples on it sound like the real thing , except the Vox Humana !!!! I find i have to add phaser and slow chorus to it ,, but its still not as close sounding as your sample etc ,, plus your alot better arranger than me , im 50 and started about 4 years ago learning all this , but must admit im struggling lol
Wow!!! Great cover version. Sounds brilliant. Do you know if the Vox Humana sample downloads you have on the website would work with the Fantom G6? It's a fantastic sound. Cheers, Paul.
@Vstreamdotbe Hi Joeri, thanks very much for your advice, I actually bought (second-hand of course) yesterday and it's coming on Monday night! I've already got the GMedia Oddity which I think is great but it's just not the same as being able to tweak all those parameters and I do have a reasonable controller (Axiom) too. Therefore, this for me is the logical step as I made the decision not to fork out for an original Odyssey a while back (the build quality of the original ARPs are appalling.. )
like what motzart or something? this tune is awesome it doesn't have to be technically difficult to sound good. most of Numans stuff is very simple to play yet sounds brilliant.
Hey I may have commented on this stunning version of Airlane & YES I STILL know it's AWESOME. Please feel free to check out my version I've just uploaded as well as my reworking of R F Elc & other stuff I've done & that's in the pipe line. I expect you'll like the wrapping I've done on my version of Neon Lights an old Kraftwerk album track I've covered. Cheers!
The vox sounds didn't sparkle, but I think they were not recording off a board or audio interface. I suspect it sounds clearly with a better audio capture?
Addicted to VOX HUMANA sound and you god damn nailed it!
One of my favorite Numan songs and the first song I ever learned on keyboard. Still love cranking the album and playing along to it to this day!
Great
What can i say, FANTASTIC,this has to be the best version ive ever heard. Great work.

I wish you remembered what synth you used for the lead, as that is a DAMN good Vox Humana patch son. Hard to tell from the original Polymoog 280a.
Utter, utter respecka. Fab!
Very nice Vox Humana there!!

nice rendention dude
Excellent cover! What do you think of the Prodyssey?
do you have the music notes for this, I can't see you play them. Thanks, Charles
Can you really get the Vox Humana sound from a Fantom?
This is great. I want to build you a giant illuminated pyramid to play against.
How did you program this Polymoog patch from Fantom X? It sounds good for a Rompler. Which patch did you change? It
WOW
like what motzart or something?
this tune is awesome it doesn't have to be technically difficult to sound good.
most of Numans stuff is very simple to play yet sounds brilliant.
Then right into metal.
@theonlywinner Nevermind, I found it, thanks,.
Yep? I agree with matt very nice?
Was the polymoog sound sampled to your fantom?

This is obviously fake. If you look closely, you can see that the smurf's hands never move.
Great performance, though.
Not bad cover man; but nothing can really ever touch Vox Humana and Strings from the Polymoog 280a though...cheers
The vox sounds didn't sparkle, but I think they were not recording off a board or audio interface. I suspect it sounds clearly with a better audio capture?
v
Not bad,but do a harder song ??
More drums ,more bass .
Nearly has gud has the real thing there's only one Gary numan
