Today its time for the 39th episode in this series, subscriber's choice. Where you get to choose what i fly out and in which mode, AB or RB. Today's episode is for Erlend Lundvall, who asked me to fly out the J7W1, and he got the most votes/likes on his choice. Let's see how it went.

Just letting ya know I CAN CONFIRM they have boosted the number of bombers to SIX, count em SIX! Just ran into 2 matches back to back with SIX bombers on both teams, none of them squaded.
If we thought air RB was a shitshow before? Welcome to the bad old days of entire teams of bombers, the only difference is now both Axis and Allies can be nothing but damn worthless RP farmers. And of course since they haven't upped the number of bases I'm already seeing bombers TKing each other because their simply isn't enough bases, man this is fucking bad. Just when I thought Gaijin wasn't pulling dumbshit like the bad old days here we go again.
I like to consider it the Japanese answer to the Thunderbolt: high altitude focused, though not horrid at lower altitudes, very bad idea to turn in it, although it's more deceptive than the Jug in turns (it tries to make you THINK you can turn a bit more). Also, the crazy firepower and energy retention
Tracer belts on the Japanese 30s are a must. The HEF-T rounds have 60 grams of TNT equivalent and a 920m/s velocity compared to the 710m/s velocity of all the other ammunition types.

Yak-9UT with specific 45mm gun setup should be interesting.

Fun fact: the J7W1 never ejected spent casings as seen in the intro, instead they were stored within the aircraft as ejection meant the risk of damaging the propeller

its not a forgiving plane at lower alts, thats for sure!
like a fw190 you will be killed a lot and not get any kills if you dont know how to use it but when you get the hang of it it becomes a monster
Jengar can you fly the Seafire FR 47? Im interested to see what you can do with it. If you haven't spaded it, it might be worth getting premium for 1 day to unlock its parts because its performance is abysmal stock.

P-51D-5 is my request.
Specifically I would like to see it against Germany or Japan. Versus Germany I have no idea what to do against competent pilots who don't fall for my energy traps, and versus Japan the J2M's are formidable, and while I can usually energy fight zeros, they can usually easily dodge all of my shots as well.

@@Agent-ic1pe I struggle against Germany the most as the Bf-109 does everything better for the most part. When I fly the Bf-109 G-2 I feel untouchable. Fighting Japan takes patience to get them on the deck with low energy. I have gotten used to fighting zeros and find it a lot easier than fighting Bf 109s.
@@thefightingsquid7347 Yeah, the 109s are really good. I wouldn't say untouchable because they are slower than US planes and I can usually bait them into spiral dives. But if they don't fall for it or they have teammates, then well, I'm toast. But I guess my main problem with zeros is my lack of reflexes. I easily gain advantage but I can never get my guns on them.

EDIT: Note that a fair part of it's advantage is how rarely it is used and how often it isn't flown into its advantage - resulting in opponents highly underestimating it, allowing you to take a lot of people by surprise.

The propeller hub is so fluffy in this thing, it's a disc of hair. I got it today and I didn't bring it to battle, but in customs I could pull a couple of reversals on some meta planes
I wouldn't mind a video on you playing arcade again, I REALLY enjoyed the video on how to get kills in arcade, especially the chat. Just some tips on tactics or how to play well on arcade or realistic would be great!!!! Once again, I love your videos (you are now officially my favourite WT youtuber)
Thank you sir! more tutorials are on the way, but i have to say, i dont fly a lot of AB anymore. It will be mainly RB. But i have 2 good old AB tutorials. they cover a lot of ground.
I call this plane "the jackhammer" because of the noise its guns make. I love those 30's. Got 2 b29's in a game who were 1.4'ish kilometers above me. I felt pity for them because I wasnt seriously expecting any hits.

If you ever get a chance to try it in-cockpit VR that plane is madness. Though you really need to start at the P-36 and F4F for in-cockpit VR to be really playable.

w-what the! that's my special plane i play all the time and what a coincidence i was in a different mode but same time we played
I really enjoy this plane! But we have lots of high altitude planes in WT, but the game mechanics doesn't help. The long range bombers should start higher, say 6k-7k and bases positioned far away. We also should have a minimal information about incoming enemies in RB. Large AI bomber formation, at high altitude, would be nice!

I would say a review about the FW190 F8 or d9/d12. I think that you haven't ever made a review about the fw190 f8, so I would say that one

Hey jengar in your opinion if the CAC sabre was added would it be overpowered as it has 2 30mm adens and has a canberra engine in it instead of the American engine. I think it would be a great counter to the cl13 domination at top tier

I would suggest a similar plane with a similar design the xp-55 please it would be interesting to see a matchup between the j7w1 and the XP 55

I am hurt. I thought I requested it awhile ago. Anyway, if you remember, I asked you to do an up to date review of this plane because I felt its flight model had been drastically altered since I last flew it 3 patches or so ago. To me, it now flew like a brick, and felt slow and sluggish compared to a year ago.
its been years since i flew it before, so couldnt compare it well to previous experience :(
The best on this plane are the guns, you only have hit the most planes 1 time with the 4 x30mm and it get rekt.. I shot a pe8 with 4 bullets of this beast in pieces

Ahhhi well remember this plane and the animated film that features it. The recoil of the J7W1 is something to account for and the spread of the shot mixed with slow cannon rounds does make the difficult to get used too and the horrible stock.
I would not bomber hunter with this planes as the jet bomber will easily take out the b-17 and b-24. Focus on other fighters attempting to climb and play the skycrawler ost for increased enjoyment when engaging an enemy.
The tracer belts are all HEF with 60 grams of TNT and 920 m/s velocity.
i will try thast tracer next time i use the 30's.

Yep. SkyCrawlers OST is a must. Particularly from the game “innocent aces.” Alternatively, Heroes of the Pacifc and Blazing Angels works as well.

they might have, i had not played it in years, so i didnt remember the old FM.
If the enemy has a type of kill you can go into the chat and click on "Battle" and it will show what that guy killed and his plane type FYI, 8:30
usually i dont have time for that, as im focused on the battle.

Why are all the Japanese gun sounds so meaty? I love it! Except some of the twenty mils which sound like mg's used to.

SuS, so how is it then? Is it a good plane, or is it a expensive disaster. Defyn says its not good, Jengar says its like it would be ok, wiki says like it would be "meh", my experience tells me it is "uh". Wtf dudes. Tell me how to play it, 30seconds turn rate is... what mec? propeller pitch? it turns better at 100 or at 0? flaps only for negative? radiator 15% on 100%? How to use it, since i know i can kill bombers but huh. What angle of approach should i use to climb?
