    Funny thing is, you did the same thing as me with the center channel. I did not have enough room for a fancy mid, tweet, mid center speaker in my room, so I did what you did and went for a regular bookshelf speaker. I do not see any obvious improvements of having 2 woofers on the side of my center instead of just one on the bottom. After all, the tweeter really decides if your dialogue sounds clear, crisp, or just muffled. Good move not wasting money on 2 woofers.

    • @djijspeakerguy4628
      @djijspeakerguy4628 5 лет назад

      general specific you are absolutely correct. I do not have a midrange in mine, but the Polk Audio t15 I used gas a midwoofer and a silk dome tweeter. It certainly sounds like it contains a midrange, and I am happy with it until I can find something slightly more pricy. The earlier Paradigm Atom (using earlier paradigm titans for left and right) are apparently better after a refoam, like I did to my titans, and will match more.

    • @Acoustic_Theory

      The Esoteric series speakers have state-of-the-art bass. Duke Lejeune of AudioKinesis told me they have the best bass he has heard in a 6.5-7" size class speaker. They are not a cheap driver, and it is important that you try to chamfer the back side of the baffle around the woofer cutout if you can, to help with airflow through the frame windows between the cone and spider landings.

      I was going to add a similar comment. I've seen 123Toid show these speaker combos as well, but it would be great to get a review of them in comparison to commercially available bookshelves at the same cost. What did these come out to? About $500 or more?
