"this is your house, no more changes", that sentence makes me cry many times. thank you for giving naomi a complete home. you americans help a lot of chinese orphans, thank you.
Ronby Sanlacwa theres videos on that. It is so sad, and I never blame the mother, bc the situation in other countries is extremely difficult and different from America.
Ronby Sanlacwa Because there are lots of families prefer boys than girls, but there are still many Chinese families waiting for adopting babies. And I heard it’s a very difficult process.
As an adopted child from China, I love that you and your family are continuing to educate her on her heritage. I remember my mother doing the same for my sister and I and it's something I cherise. Also, please continue to teach her Chinese, that is one thing I wished my mother would have continued to do for me when I was little as I plan to travel to China one day and would love to be able to speak it. She's a beautiful child as are all of your children. I wish you and your family the best!

I’m a Chinese adoptee adopted by a white, Canadian family back in 1999 and watching your little Chinese New Year party made me emotional. Being of colour in a white home and in a predominantly white community was complex growing up, but it also enriched my identity in so many ways too. I love how you encourage her to be proud of who she is and where she is from. She is surrounded by so much love. She is truly home.
@drag0nfly_girl Hey thanks for your comment. Personally, I do identify as someone of colour. It is something that my family and I use openly and lovingly. In fact my mother is keenly aware of this and we have had many conversations as jewish people about the ways I have felt within predominantly white, jewish spaces, both positive and negative. I am a person who is visually of a different race than my family. That brings with it it’s own joys and challenges. To ignore that fact is to erase the experiences I have and will continue to have as someone who is a different race than those I often travel with. Everyone is colourful and moves through life on their own path. But it is not a bad thing to identify the ways in which we are different! I would also add that I don’t feel at all that I am excluding myself from my home or my family when I use this language in this context. Of course, when I talk about my family, I don’t say my white family. They are simply my family. But in the context of my comment, which is directly addressing the embracing of culture, it’s important to identify that my family is white, and that I was culturally brought up as “white”, and that I am profoundly touched when “white” families like my own go out of their way to incorporate their child’s culture as a way of showing their love.
@@jennybassam5515 hey! Just so yk, having white skin doesn't make u white racially. Chinese and Japanese people are Asian which makes them people of color.
I really love how you put a lot of effort into teaching her Chinese words. You were even taking care to pronounce the tones, that shows how much you truly care ❤️
It's so beautiful that you embrace Naomi's heritage (and continue to do so) and use it to educate your boys about another culture. I think it is easy for a child who is adopted by foreigners to lose touch with their heritage. The fact that you are teaching her Chinese is just beautiful. Naomi is a lucky child who has the best of both worlds. Would love to see an update!
Wow I'm in tears...Can truely feel your love care for Naomi and all the efforts to teach her Chinese tradition. Really appreciate it. God bless you all.
As I watched her adoption video and then this one I was thinking of how lucky Naomi is. Then I realized I had it backwards, Naomi is simply finally getting the loving family that she deserves, your family was lucky to have searched for and found such a wonderful treasure. Many prayers and loving vibes to the entire Lewis family.
It's four years since you post this video. Hope you guys are living a happy life. Thank you for giving Naomi a complete home and a lot of love. She is an angel to comfort many ordinary people in this complex world including me.
Many people in China see her new life and how she grows up. We all thank your family bring naomi kindness since she didn't receive much love firstly. What her brother says(no more changes) is so sweet!
I'm amazed how young kids can learn a language so quickly...6 months in the US and she is already speaking fluent English....kids are so lucky. Anyway I love that you are embracing her heritage and are learning Chinese together. I think it's so important for children adopted from overseas to not lose that, and even better if the family joins in as well.
As a Chinese American, I’m so touched by how loving and caring your family is. My eyes teared up so many times seeing the way you love her. Also the fact that you are celebrating the Chinese culture is so important and precious for her. So much respect for your family, this video made my day.

I hope to see her growing up with success and respect tour her parents and elders as Asian culture does. I had 3 kids born in the US and so far they listen and follow my advise. and as a Chinese, I have to say, your Chinese New Year party is so great and just like a real Chinese family, you have 'FU', kitchen god, hot pot and even 'Hongbao'. You really know our culture very well. 👍👍👍👍

Single handedly one of the sweetest Chinese adoptions ever! It’s so nice to see her truly loving her new family for who they are! I’ve seen other babies be ok but not like her! Lol this is so sweet! How long ago did you adopt?
My Favourite " Lewis Family" I really enjoyed to watch every minute of your first video, it's truly amazing, your family is truly beautiful. You kept her birth name; also teaching her Mandarin celebrating Chinese New Year, the whole culture thing OMG, You are so amazing.
She learnt English very well, considering she has only joined your family 6 months ago,
Thank you for the update, I would like to see more of your future updates! God bless your family!
