    Put the judge in the ring with you guys and give him some 5 finger expert opinion in the hope it drives some justice into our injustice system. Wish you well in the retrial in the hope that justice will prevail.

    You can be jailed for self-defence, defending someone else, or sentenced for 'provoking violence' on social media. The public wants to see consistency in sentences given. Vigilantism results from public mistrust in the justice system.

    Judges are out of touch of what a man is. Men are powerful. They are not all simps.

      As long as they keep giving 40% off for pleading guilty, 10% off for saying, 'Sorry' and for some another 10% off for 'cultural' reasons nothing will change.

    Blame the Crown prosecution service. They make the recomendations to the judge. If it hade been trial by jury that takes the responsibilty away from individual judgement.

    Ethnicity based sentencing brought to you by the same people who passed The Electoral (Registration of Sentenced Prisoners) Amendment Act in June 2020. The Act allows people in prison who are serving prison sentences of less than three years, to enrol to vote in the General Elections

    • @user-bw5nc

      Unfortunately, 'All' NZ citizens are officially divided by ethnicity..... but very few acknowledge it.

    • @logicalanswer3529
      @logicalanswer3529 2 месяца назад +2

      @@user-bw5nc Unfortunately not all ethnicities are asked to be taken into account when sentencing as well. There are still people like the solicitor general Una Jagose who is trying to implement sentencing Guidelines stating that prosecutors should consider, in particular, whether or not someone is Māori before deciding how they should proceed with prosecution / sentencing.

      @@user-bw5nc I believe that no matter what percentage someone is of any ethnicity, it should not be used as a measure of decisions to create a negative or positive outcome. In my view behaviour (or continued behaviour) and intent are more important.

    This whole fiasco is just sick.
    Mr havili and his whanau should have been deported given the fact that he was suspended by the nzru for a coward punch and he then went back to play under his cousins name when he was involved in another brawl in a game that led to a fan having his jaw broken...all of this before he went on to murder vau with his favorite move - the coward punch.
    And this latest sentance - given the news that the manager or coach of the Tongan team has lied and submitted that lie to the court then heads need to roll...not just in the Tongan rugby team but also in our own judicial system

    Duncan,
    Your speech modulates in tempo from rushed and hard to decipher to moderate. You also don't clearly enunciate words. More of a mumble.
    Speak clearly and at a normal pace. Rather than a rushed mumbling under your breath strange sound. Challenging to hear and understand.
