I think Gove came across very well here. He’s a smart guy and without doubt a very competent person at the very highest level of political life in this country.
Interesting series. Is slightly funny how they chastise Boris for “thinking about himself” but all of them speak about how brexit impacts them and them and their careers!
Great interview/discussion. EB needs to watch the whole thing because he needs some lessons on interviewing. He interrupted Gove too much. At 1st iritating then hugely iritating. By the time we got to the BBQ, EB wouldn't let Gove say more than 3 words. Constant interruptions. Aside from that ,this was great. As for Gove, was he the most competent member of every cabinet he sat in? Also, Gove is so incredibly deft in his speaking, so articulate and so credible but why is it that I feel so often that I've been lied to and cannot even identify the lie?
That press conference the morning after the referendum - Messrs Johnson and Gove reminded me of 2 rabbits faced with 3 lanes of motorway traffic coming at them.
I get Osborne point that some of the bigger EU states are now using migration as political talking point to further their personal ambitions but let’s look at the facts. You create a single economic market which initially stimulates growth in countries with existing infrastructure for production and manufacturing hence creating more jobs, what is the expected likely outcome then, people in the poorer states are going to move across in search of jobs in places where they exist until some equilibrium is established across the union. Its basic economics 101 where resources are directed in this case to the cities and you see rural-urban migration in search of the jobs. The arrogance of the leading states in the union however is that they should absorb all the capital and means of production and production the other countries should just be mere dumping grounds (market) for the finished goods. Thats the idea of these populist movements on immigration. Do not come here for work but we shall sell all our produce to you as a single market. Have your cake and eat it so to speak. Who then is right on the issue of immigration coz all the hounded polish in London were working and contributing to uk economy as well their economies back home.
Even from the lack of direct eye-to-eye statements, you can tell that Gove is either not comfortable or perhaps not entirely truthful in his answers or just plain embarrassed about his actions at the time. He seems driven by ambition and wants the crown for himself regardless of what damage his actions left in their wake.
Here is the question none of these three will ask, because the answer for all of them is ‘No’. Has Brexit made you poorer? Be very honest and you know the answer
Great series guys. Really enjoyed it! More on the EU, Brexit negotiations please 🙏
Thanks for posting the videos ! So good to see faces !

Bad character.

That’s mainly because it’s true that Boris was actually a remainer and only went on to the vote leave to get closer to becoming PM

Just read the new Tim Shipman book and now this. Christmas has come early.

Let’s do Inside the room of brexit negotiations. That would be fascinating !
Michael, the slimiest and most dishonest of politicians. No difference between him and Boris

Gove is so disingenuous.
