I think the it's the closest path to just do art that you love. Real life architecture can be just boring, doing hospitals, cheap houses with cheap materials, and sometimes bigger stuff but almost the same style and construction as other comapanies are doing in your region. Futhermore, even architects that's having good incomes probably aren't doing things they like as architecture, because it's just a job. I really do like the idea of just doing architecture beacuse you love the art behind the project, and i think it's the most pure expression lol. Maybe in virtual worlds we can show our ideas better
The only issue is beign able to afford food once you jump away from "what's useful". You need to be really really good to make a living just by creating fictional architecture
