This was a very helpful video!!! I had watched and read a few other things before this and none of them told me what I needed to know. All I wanted to do was know how to set up a folder that mirrors the entire drive. But I didn't know to use the term and had been using "sync" in my searches which only told how to sync individual folders. Some people said that mirroring was impossible with the software. I never would have found the settings to get a mirror folder working without this video. Thank you so much!!
@ ok I kinda found out how to do it, at the bottom right next to the time is an up arrow, and clicking it will show a google drive indicator. That’s the only way I found it now
Is there a paper or PDF manual or user guide anywhere that we can use to learn this program? Some of the videos are great, but it's really difficult to get anywhere when I have to keep pausing and rewinding to see what I missed. And I have to use a 2nd monitor so I can be looking at My Drive, while watching a video. It's just a major hassle, and I'm frustrated.
I've been hitting my head against the wall to figure this out and I might have reached a conclusion here... Look... Your files need a place to "live". Once you figure out where they "live", you can determine which storage space you're using. See, if you're syncing the files from your hard drive to G.Drive, that means they still "live" in your HD, and by syncing them to Gdrive you're just making sure you can still have access to them from somewhere else. They still live in your HD though. Now, if you UPLOAD those files to google drive, either thru the web browser or drag-drop them into "my drive", THEN they are going to "live" in Google drive and you can occasionally see/use them from your PC. Google does a terrible job explaining this. Just by syncing stuff that currently "lives" in your HD will not free up any space from it. The other way around will.
I couldn't see "other computers" when I access Google Drive on desktop. Is there a way to access the files/folders that we've synced from laptop to G-Drive from "Google Drive on desktop"? :) Thanks.
I am confused. I have Google Drive, but only use it with Google apps such as Docs, Sheets. etc and not much for those either. It came into its own when I accidentally deleted a Google Doc and used Drive to find a previous version, that I could edit and update.
On the Google Drive home page I have 2 TB but on Google Drive Desktop I only have 118 GB which is the same amount of space as I have on the computer. How do I get 2TB on Google Drive Desktop as well? I'm so confused!

My google drive has filled up my hard drive space, even though my settings are to stream files only. Do you know how to fix this?
Same
