- Key mapping in Ableton Live can be very useful and quick. Whether it's for mapping elements in Live that aren't mapped to Push or other MIDI controllers, for music production or even for live performances. In this video tutorial I will show you a trick to maximise your mapping options and what else you should be aware of. With the addition of more and more one-letter and number shortcuts, as well as the computer MIDI keyboard mappings, there are some pitfalls to be avoided.

I use key mapping a lot! They definitely upped the ante with Live 12. One drawback is: with practically every new version of Live I'll have to adjust my customized mappings because they change it so much. bummer I can't use the alt-modifiers anymore, I was really relying on that.
Yes, Ableton have been changing things up so much over the years. That's one of the reasons I made this video.
