Hi John, great to hear the HB in a mix. It was you that introduced me to HB guitars. That was the one that I went for. I'd had a couple of budget guitars before I got the HB but it wasn't until the HB arrived that I finally got back to having a guitar that felt like it was "My" guitar if you know what I mean.
I learn a huge amount from watching your videos which i am hugely grateful. and it's a fun way of learning serious theory. But! today i did spit my coffee out and laugh very loudly for use of the phrase 'Infinitesimally small rhythmic value'. I am going to use this in a serious work meeting this week to see if it raises a smirk.
I bought a Siam Music Strat here in Thailand for 70 pounds new. It has a rosewood fretboard a maple neck and I think Basswood body. It was made in Indonesia. I have to say that its finish is beautiful, perfect even. I am suspecting that there must be a couple of big factories in Indonesia that are managed by Japanese or Koreans. The wood is available there as is the cheap labour. In my 45 years importing experience I often saw mega factories which make products for many different brands using mass produced electrics from China and the having a few different body shapes resulting in great quality and price. I suspect Harley Benton's and many many more are made in these factories. The same is true of budget trumpets there are 2 massive factories in Beijing which make all the brands and just badge them up. the good thing is that now beginners can buy a decent instrument at a cheap price
Order th sc450 with p90s should be here just after christmas, and ive ordered (recieved this week) some iron gear platinum 90s in chrome dont know if i should change the pickups see what happens when it all comes together
Also to add few chromatic notes or even a pre bend just my thoughts on making it a little more interesting thanks John 👍from the great state of Oklahoma USA

I have one of these Hb gt450 and l like it, it is a tad heavy but l believe LP's are.how does the weight compare to the sunburst les p is the gold top lighter?did you sell on the Hb sc 550 that you had, l recall you spoke very highly of it but then ended up with a Gibson LP.l know which l would keep. cheers 😄

Simple to understand and well explained, even i got it so it must be easy to understand.
That scale looks interesting as I haven't a clue to play lead guitar though my ears do help with some small melodies.
