@@PZier pain in the mouth is different from pain while trying to digest. Chili Pepper plants evolved this chemical to prevent it from being eaten by mammals. But with constant exposure to capsaicin we humans can actually enjoy the burn. The more we eat the hotter we like our food. However there is a limit. Too much Capsaicin will cause an extreme immune response of the tissues in the mouth and throat causing swelling of the lips mouth and even airways. It doesn’t matter how spicy you like your food.
