Rescue Operations - Helicopter Rescue, Switzerland - Episode 1

Rescue operations in inaccessible environments require perfect knowledge and mastery of equipment.
In the first episode, we are following the rescue specialists of Air Glaciers on a Via Ferrata rescue exercise where a man has fallen and dropped three meters down on the “Via Farinetta” in the Salentze Gorge in Saillon and needs to be evacuated.
As there is no appropriate place to land for the helicopter at the accident side, the crew prepares for a hoist rescue. This is where specific tools like the LEZARD helivac lanyard and the JAG rescue kit come into play.
