List of colours : 0:51 white for underpaint of wall, 2:58 yellow ochre + a bit of burnt umber to paint wall to look old / 5:22 cerulean blue + viridian + white for highlight of door, and 5:56 mix with a bit of black for dark / 9:00 apply yellow ochre, burnt sienna, black to paint door to look old, / 11:19 use a mixture of purple + white + a bit of back + a bit of ultramarine to paint the shadow of the tree./ 12:02 apply a part of sap green + prussian blue + burnt umber for underpaint of tree / 14:52 highligh tree with light green and lemon yellow / using burnt sienna for tree trunk / 16:43 apply a part of white + a part of magenta for flowers /

Am I the only one who watched this entire video and is still astonished by how he did that? Amazing work! So realistic! All the textures and layers! It's so good!
I feel like story was told in this video. Of a door that went from being brand new into something aged and worn. Beautiful and somewhat heartbreaking. This is one of my favorite paintings you've done for sure.

Very rarely does a work of art inspire deep philosophical thoughts. So while I was watching this video, an idea struck me. Normally we say"oh that's the picture of a door" or "that's a beautiful painting of a door", but no one says "That's a reality of a door", when there is an actual door right in front of us. We just say " that's a door". Its funny how perceived reality, which is a complex construct of myriad subjectivity of emotions and experiences, gets drastically simplified in the process, just taken for granted. Just a thought.😊

absolutely beautiful... your art transmits me so many happy emotions ... this door reminds me of one of my travels in Spain in Andalousie on Tabarqa island where there are only 100 inhabitants with exactly this same front door in their homes surrounded by small flowering trees that climbs all the way.

Oh, Sita, sadly, that’s not true. Not everyone can be an artist like not everyone can sing, no matter how much they practice! It takes a certain amount of talent to start with. I could probably learn to paint with practice but it would still be amateurish because I don’t have a natural talent for it. My Mother was an artist.
