Holy shhiiii, I loved and replayed this mission in particular when I was a kid because of the thunder gun Easter egg but now I realized that this is a great designed level !! Nice gameplay :D
I’m sorry but this just has character. Good graphics, mechanics, and whatnot. Not perfect, just clean, simple and made with love and care. I feel like the creators of games back then had these massive egos that could only be settled by giving the consumer the absolute perfect most joy inducing product. Nowadays they’ve been replaced by people who want to maintain profit margins and hit return on investment quotas. Shame how this happens with all art.
because the game is all about secret shit, the guns are secret, they're in multiplayer, and the devs wanted players to get a taste of them in the campaign gameplay. It's the same reason why there's PPShs on DDay in CoD WW2
Every COD game should have an Easter egg weapon like the thunder gun in this level which has got to be related to the TAC-19 from Advanced Warfare. If you finish the level with the thunder gun or any secret gun you should get to start with another secret weapon for the final campaign level. Like you brought it back to base and they reversed engineered it to build something entirely new. That's a good incentive to hang on to it even if you're out of ammo.
Map at 0:22 is wildly inaccurate. None of the Central Asian states, Caucasus states, Baltic states, Ukraine, Belarus, etc. are included in the USSR?? Actually insane
Games not meant to be realistic. when we get shot 3 times head or anywhere that can affect you heavily you don’t die, even if you shoot fruits they don’t explode such as water melons in the rocket missionZ
