Interesting watching this video having had shingles about seven weeks ago followed by post shingle pain in back, shoulder and arm. It really is excruciating pain, and I’ve never had so much ibuprofen and paracetamol in my life. I’m down to paracetamol once or twice a day and feel blessed that I’m nearly recovered after 5 weeks - an answer to prayer! Thoughts and prayers with those long time sufferers. I feel your pain.
I’ve been dealing with shingles since I was 13 years old… I’m 28 now… and I’ve learned to live with the pain but this video finally gave me hope

I am from Nigeria
I've had the pain for over 4 years, everyday, unrelenting, from the center of my upper chest to the center of my back. Touching anything on my left side, from the waist up sends a shock to the shingles site. Several pain management Dr's at the Cleveland clinic, multiple drugs, 3 pain block injection tries and nothing worked. I now also have Afib and can no longer take the drugs that are usually prescribed to treat the pain, none worked any way. I guess I'll just be in agony until I die, I'm 77.

THroughout all the comments and video i have not heard the actual procedure mentioned. Anyone? please..im dying over here it feels like. Mine is in the worst place imaginable...
It explains the procedure with on screen text that he apparently surgically removes the affected, painful nerves...pretty dramatic, and certainly not for everyone, but if it works, that's great. I've been experiencing PHN pain for almost 2 months but it seems to be slowly subsiding, thank GOD! I also have a lung condition which complicates matters, needless to say.

3 1/3 years for me..pain has subsided but pops up now and then in the area whit originally started… 1st 2 years unbearable…. I don’t have a sympathetic dr…gave me 10 vicadin..

Opiods help… gave me 10… the worst was gabapentin ..just about destroyed me… didn’t help at all
