Hi love the shows always had Vws , had my 2016 highline converted by a local company great spec , sold it last year for more than the convert cost , love the vw lifestyle, done the posh hotels and resorts but now would rather a trip away in our camper
We have loved our VW van and have had it for over 6 years now and spent nearly 700 nights in it - definitely better value than staying in hotels!! I love the fact that you wake up to a different view nearly every morning and straight into the outdoors.
We love ours too. We were houseless for 14 weeks when we moved to the dales and lived in it, it helped it was late summer and autumn and we were retired so we had fun travelling 🚐
Hubby and I looking to do same as you, semi retirement adventures, but complete newbies. Looking at camper options now. Looking forward to your updates and advice, thanks
Exciting times ahead for you then 🚐😊 we have absolutely loved our van and the freedom it has given us both when we were working and in our retirement. Good luck x
I'm getting around 36mpg on my t6.1 DSG auto T30 150ps and that's with goodrich AT's on 17" wheels. I cant grumble...I was lucky enough to get an ex fleet 1yr old from a VW dealer.
We got our kombi as an ex fleet aswell and up until now have run it on the standard alloys and commercial tyres with great success (if not a little unstylish🤣) but with being in the alps for quite an extended time this winter we swapped over.
That's cracking Robin- we love Nelson on a long motorway cruise at 70mph. He just eats it up...the much fabled 500 mile tank is so easy on such a run. Interesting that you get such great milage from the DSG...as some people on the forums say they struggle with the mpg. We are seriously considering a DSG set up for our next van✅ Thanks for the comment. R
Ah I’m a new sub and I’m pretty sure your local to me, I also have a vw t6 , same colour , I’m sure I’ve noticed your van around, il be sure to wave frantically next time I see you 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 great channel BTW 😊
We thought we had seen a twin out there…We always try to wave to everyone anyway- we love the VW love! Our neighbours may well frantically wave to you as they wave to every blue van in the locality thinking it’s us😂 Thanks for reaching out- glad you enjoy our little channel.
Thank You - Very helpful - Loving your passion for the van/conversion.
Cheers - we have loved the last 6 years of travel the van has afforded us!

We love our Danbury T6, small yes but so easy to drive and park. We lived in ours for 10 months during Covid we both survived 😅❤

MPG - I have a long wheel base Diesel T6 Transporter conversion with a DSG gearbox and I get 45 - 52 mpg!

No mention of solar panels
We have a solar panel which has made a huge difference when we are off grid 🚐
9:14 “Volkswagen” independent test.
Wink wink 😉
Who did your conversion please?
