I was restricted to the size of my van because I didn't want to annoy my neighbours with a huge van being left on the driveway for 5 days at a time. So I opted for a lwb transporter t6.1 204 dsg highline from van haven I went for a twin slider tailgate model factory kombi. I then had a full swomper conversion with uprated suspension and off road BF goodridge k02 tyres and fuel colvert alloy wheels . I Had the kombi camper conversion done .I had a 40 winks full queen size bed fitted in the rear .the van is fully carpeted, insulated, and sound deadened. I have a 7 day remote programmable diesel heater, full off grid electrics, leisure battery and slim line full length solar panel ,plus hook up .I have swivel front seats and ,an ovano switch rear table .a 40 litre fridge freezer. A 15 in drop down tv dvd player, A fiamma 45s awning on the drivers side plus a remo rail on the passenger side for our kampa cross inflatable awning. My transporter is by far best vehicle I could have bought. I can daily drive it or take it on European road trips .I only 2 weeks ago drive to john o'groats a journey that took 13.5 hours and 670 miles . You have the best of both worlds with a transporter. The freedom the van provides is the gift that keeps on giving 🤟
Hi there, can you recommend a conversion company (or companies) in Dorset, Wiltshire or Hampshire? Just sold my first converted camper and bought a T6.1 panel van for conversion. Want to avoid the mistakes of last time (style over substance!). I have found one converter I like the look/sound of but he's all the way up in Yorkshire (Highlife Campers). One "lesson" from before though was to keep it more local (easier to get to when something goes wrong!). Any recommendations appreciated, ta.
Hi Chris, send me an email (in my about section) What spec van have you bought? What are your reasons for liking the mentioned converter? What conversion are you thinking of?
@Staycation Lifestyle will drop you a mail, thanks. I've found a t6 1 Highline panel van 150DSG in Indium Grey for a really good price, from a main dealer too!! Want a full camper conversion with pop top plus some exterior mods (the bronze one you had on your channel before was v nice!)
Looking forward to this series. New to your channel and loving the content. Very professional and informative, keep up the quality work 🤙
Thank you, very much appreciated. Even talk about T4’s briefly in the base van video 😄

You’ve done well to get a factory kombi 👍 Spec sounds fantastic. You’ve certainly made it perfect for you. They are great vans
