This really touched my heart. As an inactive church member of the lds church you’ve taught me something new today. i am so grateful the members of my church’s young women’s and the leaders gave me this video to watch may god bless you!.❤
Beautiful! Thank you! I listened to this again as I started to write this comment. As you said the manger would have been used for water, I thought of Christ being the Living Water.
I have a print of your painting which I love!! Hearing the background has made it even more special to me! Thank you so much for such a beautiful message! I’ve shared it with many family and friends!! You have blessed my Christmas! Thank you!!
I saw your painting in the Come Follow Me lesson. I immediately thought that is a special painting. Thanks for making this video explaining the background behind it. I'm going to show this video to my kids. I appreciate your insights.
I went to see you speak today. I had thought in my heart I wish I could see you in your studio. I waited in line three times I walk away the last time I waited. Another lady wanted to talk to you as well. You looked straight at me and asked me, “Would you like to see my studio”. I am trying to fill the carved out place in my soul. Thank you 🙏.
Thank you so much for not only offering your own vision of this incredible event but for being open to inspiration about the other lessons to be learned.
I saw this for the first time in the Dec 6 2020 devotional. I saw it, and I burst into tears immediately. Your depiction speaks to a truth that is so often overlooked: Jesus' mother and stepfather were not unprepared lonely wanderers. They had, as told in the scriptures, an extensive family. They traveled frequently and easily. Joseph and Mary were chosen specifically because of their preparation. The "Inn", a mistranslation of "a room", is a creation of the translators not wanting to say "room in the room." Thank you for going to the source, and pulling away the layers of myth that we both comfort and confuse ourselves with. The truth, the truth of the birth of Christ, as witnessed by the immensely important provided genealogies, is that Jesus Christ is the lion of Judah. He is the King. That simple embroidery in the swaddling spoke volumes to me. Thank you for your research, and for your willingness to listen for and to the answers.
Jenedy, that was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this. You do so much research into your work I really appreciate it. It makes the spirit that comes with it all the more touching.
Thank you so much for sharing! I love the Little Lamb, as well as your other works. All of my kids have the Little Lamb for their homes. You have a great talent, thank you for sharing!!
I have always loved this particular work of yours depicting our Savior the night of His birth. Now, I love it even more, knowing the origins of your inspiration. Thank you for sharing your love, light, and talents with the world. I love you sweet friend.
I love that you painted him with red hair. Very symbolic. He came from the line of David who it says was “rudy”. He, the red heifer, whose hair was as the wine vat. He the lamb of God who would suffer for the sins of the world. 💟🙏🏽
Hi Jenedy, I am from South Africa and a friend shared the Little lamb painting with me it's awesome what a gift from God you've got. How can I get hold of you via email I want to find out if you do family paintings. I am overwhelm over your paintings. Please can you let me know. Be blessed for sharing🙏🙏
Hello there, May I share the most important news with you ever before in life? God the Father sent his Holy Son Jesus (Y'shua) to earth to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. After that they put Him in a tomb for 3 days, and on the 3rd day Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people. Then Christ ascended back to heaven. We all must genuinely believe in Christ and receive Him into our life as Savior to be saved (Please see John 1:12 for this). Will you put genuine faith in Christ and receive Him into your life today?
You paint very well and I appreciate the research you put into the historical accuracy f the manger and swaddle. I'm surprised you made him white though. If your intent was to be historically accurate, why wouldn't his skin tone and hair be appropriate to the culture and climate? He certainly wouldn't have a perfect little anglo button nose. He's Jewish. He would have a Jewish nose. He would have black hair. He would have dark completion. You are propagating the myth that Jesus was a white guy. He was not a white guy.
