I remember riding these from Hudson pier bus depot then Manhattanville and MJQ I also rode the ones from the private lines too these give me a lot of good memories these buses sounded and operated good.
Between 8:48-8:52, your 20% correct about that information, the GMC RTS-03s from 1979 yes, but also the GMC Fishbowls, Flexible New Looks, and Grummans 870s. All the 1979 RTS-03s from JB INC and Triboro Coach were leased to Green Bus Lines in the late 1980s, and they stayed at Green Bus Lines until 93 or 94 (offical year not offically confirmed to this day). Green Bus lines also had other leased buses and their own GMC fishbowls to retire around that time. Most of Green Bus Lines' own 1979 RTS-03 RTSs didn't retire until 2000. Queens Surface all had the GMC Fishbowls, Flexible Newlooks, and Grumman 870s retired by 1994 (some GMC Fishbowls may have lasted past 1994 or QSC had Fishbowls from others agencies, since there's a photo of a QSC fishbowl taken in 1995). JB INC had their GMC Fishbowls and Flexible New looks gone by 1993. The JB INC Grummans lasted until 2000 (some were retired earlier since by the Fall of 1998, only 13 of the 25 remaining Grumman 870s remained in service at Jamaica buses INC).
Around in mid 1995, some of the 8600’s series recently went to Amsterdam Depot just like you seen this video that the M104 was assigned to Amsterdam & was using the 8600 series

Vulnerable Toyota RTS CNG was supposed to signify the use of the cummins L10G engine with ZF Ecomat 5HP - 500 transmission.
