That my friend is the sound of a ITB inline 6 screaming its face off, lap time for this car is in the correct range too, great driver cant really do much better without a more powerful car on this course. Gotta remember the M series BMWs are race cars before they are street cars.
What an amazing job :) Hope you be safe, thanks for the video! I both enjoyed and learned quite a lot of things... however I doubt if anybody could do something like this even virtually! Cheers Greeting from Persia
That was Hankook 240/640 R18 slicks on Motec wheels all around. Yoka slicks 650/250 R18 about 10 second faster (look my other video VLN config 9:30 that means 7:25 BTG)
a LOT of weight has been taken out of this car. you can see it has a rollcage, and of course you can tell it is a lot stiffer and has a LOT of grip. All points to more race-oriented suspension and stickier tyres - I'm inclined to believe that someone who spends every season pounding round this circuit in a car as track-prepared as this one can turn out some pretty brilliant times.
Sorry guys, this is not speed up, I think this is some real good driving, I am shure you got a AW or MYK Numberplate;-) Great Video, it shows what a series M3 can be made into without the carpets and the heavy sound proofing. Great car...
@Nordschleifejunkie This car was prepped for V6 production class for VLN. In this class it is not allowed to make any changes except tires and suspension. The weight of the car is about 1430 kg and, like I sad before, there are no other changes except suspension and a roll cage. You can see my car just about every day during tourist hours with Florida license plate. In this video it was slick tire, but track was damp. With dry track with Direzza 3G semi slick I was faster during tourist days!!!
It's not sped up, it's probably the camera/framerate that makes it look like that. The slicks giving high cornering speeds are what makes the time so low. I was going around 7m50s in a full trim road car S50 Z3M Coupe on R888s, similar weight, bit less power. That felt quick but 7m35 must feel uber fast.
at first i also thought this was sped up but on a closer look its just excellent driving with an awesome car comes to show what some weight loss can do but those tires sure are not stock?
Ernest Daka The M3 Richard Garnasson is driving is a supercharged M3 CSL, and he drives the full track, not bridge to Gantry, like the video here. BTG is only 90% of the track. If this was the full track, Denis' time would be about somewhere around 7:50. Always add +- 20 seconds to a bridge gantry lap.
krisa997 great drive great car i have just bought a m3 e46 and im in middle of stripping it for track and fitting roll cage like yourself , do you mind me asking what brake kit you have on your car . i cant stop watching this vid ,awsome.
@suzuki17dt I always ready for challenge! How much would you put? How about 20000 Euro ? I'm at the Ring just about every track day and always ready to take your offer.
@suzuki17dt he said there's no interior. therefore all the insulation/soundproofing is gone. that means the engine will sound much different than normal.
Sped up? lol I've just imported my M3 from the UK to Australia. I had always wanted to take it to the ring before I brought it over. Unfortunately I've got 2 young kids now and will probably have to sell it. Your vid has made me want to hold onto it a while longer ;) You said "no other mods" but has it had a remap? Love your work.
nice drive on a stock car... one more thing! I'm watching this Richard Gornasson on what looks Racing M3 and his time is 7:22 not much faster than yours, but actually looks much faster than you, just a thought...
Richard Göranssons lap was a full lap, not BTG so that is a lot quicker, not to take away anything from this driver/lap as it's a big different between the cars, the Loaded CSL had somewhere around 600hp.
For me it'd be E46, coz I like a straight 6, and can have a csl rep. without the flappy paddle 'box. However, there is a problem that BMW refuse to recognise, and that a fair few E46s are now cracking around the rear subframe holding the diff. Boils down to your choice.
@Xtremedu95 I don't take money from kids, but I'm ready to give you a ride. Don't forget to take Pampers with you, I don't want you to shit your pants. )
balls of steel
And that...my dear children; is known as DRIVING.
Denis, privet! This video of yours was one of the main reasons why i bought my M3 E46 in June.Particularly the sound of this M3!!Thanks cpacibo;-)
Whoever tuned the suspension did a fantastic job! The car hooks in perfectly and stays planted throughout the entire corner.

Stunning driving mate. Really shows what a top driver can do in a top, only slightly modified car. Epic!
Amazing run Denis! E46 M3's all day, everyday!
Love the sound. Awesome driving!
VERY nice suspension setup, not hopping too bad around the karousel and it stays flat around the tighter sections while giving enough damping too
tires squealing at 160 kmph. I wouldn't dare. great driving, perfect machine.
respect
great driving, fully committed and confident! great engine sounds love it
Sweet driving man!!! Respect! Impressive driving skills and car control! It must be a honor sitting next to you and tasting the Ring this way!

Чётко и агрессивно, как всегда респект! :)

I would honestly pay you to take me once around that track. Great video and great car.
WOW That is TOO fast. One of the best driver I've ever seen.
I love this video purely for the sound. Great driving!
I did this with the standard BMW M3 E46 in 8.15 with Logitech G27 :)

Очень круто Денис, кайф должно быть несусветный :)
Holy F!!! That's one great lap. I assume you know 'the Ring' very well. That's some very fancy driving!
this gives a lesson to the new type r
@RaskVousSalue Yes, I live there during the season.
Oh that Sound
M3 with no interior is abit of high pitch sound... nice driving btw
Sorry guys, this is not speed up, I think this is some real good driving, I am shure you got a AW or MYK Numberplate;-) Great Video, it shows what a series M3 can be made into without the carpets and the heavy sound proofing. Great car...
excellent, clean line, pushing the car very hard...love it

Impressive lap, incredible speed at som turn in points.

flawless driving, wish i could simulate this as well as you in gt5... the track is identical! :D
Awesome video! Great driving. What tires do you have on?
it is standard brakes with PFC brake pads
338... is that all? :D From a non-turbo straight 6?
krisa997 great drive great car i have just bought a m3 e46 and im in middle of stripping it for track and fitting roll cage like yourself , do you mind me asking what brake kit you have on your car . i cant stop watching this vid ,awsome.
great driving m3 forever.
Very quick well done. I just bought an e46 m3 and plan to cage it and race it here in Europe. Question, are your brakes stock calipers?
this is freacking sick! I cant really understand if thats the driver or also the e46m3 that is so crazy fun?
wow awesome
Awesome driving there!
Bravo! 1430 kilo's? That's a drastic weight drop! I believe that the engine is stock for the most part, but what tires were you on?
awesome driving balls of steel
Brilliant driving! What kind of tires?
Excellent driving! What tires were you on?
I think this run is more like 7:33 because there were couple cars on the track which made him slow down a little.
@suzuki17dt I always ready for challenge! How much would you put? How about 20000 Euro ? I'm at the Ring just about every track day and always ready to take your offer.
i think i found my favourite video on youtube..
that car sounds awesome
Good driving! Very quick!
No remap. It showed 338 hp (at the engine) when I did dyno check for VLN
Great driving
@suzuki17dt he said there's no interior. therefore all the insulation/soundproofing is gone. that means the engine will sound much different than normal.
this is awesome, full bass out.
great video. what camera are u using?
That's a fantastic driving ! Well done, what tires are you using ?

but actually looks much faster than you, just a thought...
God damn, wish I could get the same out of my M, or even go to the ring. What kind of tires are you running?
crazy quick mate!

M3 + balls = awesome lap !
Guessing you did this on a full trackday rather than tourist day as start speed is 240kph..?

@krisa9977 Do you live near the track to go there so often?
@Xtremedu95 I don't take money from kids, but I'm ready to give you a ride. Don't forget to take Pampers with you, I don't want you to shit your pants. )
