if ever he/she a transgender we filipino's can respect that, not all of us discriminate gays here in our country in fact we love them so much because they brings happiness into our lives with there nice characters... but in the other side, it still seems so unfair coz , even though he/ she is transgender he/still has the ability of a man,,, man and woman has a different strengths and power in playing this kind of sports,,, just look how that player jumps, compare it to the girls... u can tell easily the difference,,, anyways, no offense im just telling my opinion, coz it seems not that fare enough but still i have a respect to them and there culture.... ...Philippines are the best! showing the best sportmanship ever.... yan ang pinoy di sumusuko tinatapos ang laban! and im proud to be one...:)
Btw, the weak spot in the Philippines' rotation is the utility/opposite. Not much an option for an attack. There are two very powerful lefties in the Philippines right now and they are poised to join the national team which will be formed MONTHS PRIOR to the next tournament. I can just imagine the myriad of plays they can do with the genius of the setter they have. In that team, everyone can score from the back row. The Philippines will rise again and hopefully just like in basketball, they will become powerhouse in the region.

This team was formed 1 week prior to the competition and they were able to make a lot of combination plays and even almost took a few sets. They could have won this match had they focused the blocking in the open. Anyway, this team has so much promise. Two teenagers in the first six and the rest are in their early 20's. Plus I think their setters are smarter than the other teams' setters (based on their plays). The Philippines is now getting serious in volleyball and their aim is be number 1 again in the region. They have done it before, they just want to reclaim what's theirs.
it's so unfair that the indonesian team allow gays to play in the women's category. we can't consider the fact that HE is a transgender and transgender is considered as a female according to their law. it is still an international tournament that follows international standards and regulations. and i think that including a male, even if he's a gay, is not within that standard. think about it, what if the philippine team let a strong, male player to compete in a women's category and turns him out into a transgender. would it be fair?

Jen Reyes, the libero, even mentioned "Kuya po talaga siya." she even uploaded a picture of her and #10.
