Reminds me of how it was that way to unlock wrestlers back in the day on the older wrestling games. Very cool. Much better than paying the company more money to unlock wrestlers these days with the new games.
Yeah funny how AEW doesn't have FTR and Matt Hardy as DLC despite them being in the company for ages... oh wait... or the Bunny she's been there since day 1, oh wait.... shes DLC too.
Well at least its not like WWE doesn't put unlockable wrestlers in their showcases like Kurt Angle. Oh wait...
I mean tbf besides DLC in 2K you can unlock charaters for free by simply playing the game earning in game currency

I also LOVE how Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Matt Hardy, Keith Lee and The Bunny are unlockables! Oh wait... They aren't! They're DLC!
At least theres a big roster. Oh wait. I am pretty sure that WWE SmackDown Know Your Role had a bigger roster. IN 2000! ON THE PLAYSTATION 1! Back when 3D was still really new I might add. Their roster is only gonna get bigger than KYR's if they add more DLC, lol.

I’ve played road to elite 3 times and still haven’t gotten the brodie and big show matches
I got the Big Show match and it was annoying as hell. I had car troubles, so I had to walk to the arena. This made me late to the show with only 3 minutes and I'm outta here. They made me face Big Show and he counters and no sells everything. I just said screw this and left the ring for the final 30 seconds. Whatever.

Been smashing this game for 3 hours now. And I can honestly say it has been worth the wait. Straight up Bo Mercy vibes like we all knew to expect. Absolutely loving it!! Wife made me breakfast and it just sat Infront of me getting cold lol totally bringing out my inner teenager lmao 😂😂😂♥️♥️♥️

Just play 100 Matches. If you are trying to just do it fast, you can just start a 1v1 with 2 controllers, win then rematch. This will get you a win every 20 seconds

I'm conflicted about how I feel about this now.
This game is so fun. All the reviews that are crying about graphics are all BS. WWF Raw on the original XBOX had some of the best graphics around but was a crappy gaming experience. AEW is pick up and play but hard to master. A fun gaming experience. One I haven’t had with the wrestling genre since my n64 days!
And they did mention it'll go back to the no mercy style of gaming which certain wrestling fans don't get

You technically have play 116 exhibition matches than you will get Owen Hart in the item shop

I hated having to get Paul Wight. Frickin annoying, especially if you lose due to the timer running out, and you have to go through all of it all over again.
Will future dlc wrestlers, mini games and so on have an option to unlock them via in-game money just like street fighter 5's fight money to unlock future characters, stages etc ?
Hope so but doubt it. They already said this would be a one and done paid service game, so paid dlc is gonna be what keeps this game alive since it had a small budget. I hope we get at least a new season every 6 months that also includes a new match type to keep it fresh

Would be nice if they tossed in some free wrestlers with each update to go along with the paid wrestlers so those who choose not to buy the passes still get something

Just got the basic game on my Switch yesterday and was up a good portion of the night playing it season mode as Christian Cage! Gotta admit this is a breath of fresh air to have a great wrestling game for the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully WWE makes a new one again for it. This AEW game brings me throwbacks to how good the old PS2 Smackdown series games were! I give it a thumbs up 👍 worth getting for any wrestling fan.

i got the elite edition and don’t have any of the wrestlers that came with the pre order as in FTR and others any body know what i must do to be able to use them ?
Broken Matt Hardy is just an attire for Matt Hardy. Which at this moment you can't use because they are having issues with attires right now. Hence why you could select them yesterday but not today.
As for FTR, they should be on the wrestler select screen (alphabetical order).

@@brandonroche7538 on the wrestler select screen (under All). Cash Wheeler should be in the first row (Left , middle right... Left is L1 side) Left side, with Jericho in the middle. Dax Harwood should be in the middle between Darby & Dustin.
