8 years and still have my sobriety, it is a long, very difficult road. I'm so glad to hear it from someone else, and I appreciate you all so much. You are a great person, trying to spend the word on addiction isn't easy to talk about. You are brave and resilient and beautiful. We do recover, one day at a time!❤❤❤

@@usingmystory Her story is one we have heard many times over, dysfunctional youth, hanging with the "wrong crowd', thinking you are winning in life by escaping your past, only to find out you made things worse by pacifying instead of healing. I do not know her story so I cannot analyse her or claim to know things, based on a short clip. What I do know is that through my job in counseling I have learned to look, listen and feel. There is dissociation when she speak about recovery, she speak about "we" a couple of times and throughout the interview her tone of voice has two distinctive characters. It is a good thing that she is working on understanding that trauma needs to be dealt with through professional help. Drug use is often a symptom of childhood issues/trauma. Often times psychological conditions manifest or intensify during addiction but usually they have been part of the persons "dna" so to speak as a result of being overwhelmed by events in early childhood.
