    Siempre me hago una pregunta. ¿De donde sacan los restauradores esos materiales?
    Me gusta mucho tu trabajo y, más que nada, eso de devolverle a las herramienras antiguas y descartadas una nueva oportunidad de servir.
    Saludos desde Argentina.

      Rebar is of the other sort of steel-not so durable for long and rusty nails extraction. Tool steel of the kind is more preferable. Good job at all!👍👍

    🤣 This reminds me of the old joke about the guy selling George Washington's hammer with only the head and handle replaced (that's all there is). At least some part of this hammer might have belonged to George Washington at some point.

    Сталь арматуры слишком мягкая что бы из нее делать гвоздодер. Получилось красиво но погнется на первом серьезном гвозде.

    Sorry my friend I consider your "restoration" job a bad try, a waste of time and completely wrong. Restoration of a tool is full restoration of function and shape and you did not succeeded in any - the missing "horn" should be replaced with higher quality higher carbon tool steel. lets say piece of old pliers handle or similar quality steel not with piece of scrap soft concrete iron which will bend on first use the slot between horns should not be filed up because it makes the short part of the nail pulling lever longer, affect the mechanic and geometry of nail pulling and put more weight on hammers handle. Finally the shape of the handle is to bulky and hand holding it does not feel comfortable and does not work with pleasure.

    • @HowToRestoration
      @HowToRestoration  Год назад

      Hello my friend, I hope you are well. Everyone has their own taste and interests. Your statement about the nail that I added is correct and I agree with it, but I don't think so about my handle and I feel comfortable when working with it. Thank you for your opinion 🙏🌺
