How to access and replace the batteries in this unit:
Remove 4 screws = 2 front, 2 back, separate top from the bottom plate. Replace AA batteries with new AA batteries.
How to fix LCD display error: On this unit the ribbon cable that runs from the main board to the LCD display. On this unit, the ribbon cable was not making proper contact to the board. Simply putting pressure on the cable connection point to the board would fix the display.
